Being poorly on World Su***de Prevention Day was not what I planned, I’ve missed most of the day as well as the event I should have been at.
Remembering Danny, will miss you forever and all those we’ve loved and lost.
The theme is ‘Changing the narrative on su***de’ with a call to ‘start the conversation’.

Tomorrow this training is being launched nationally. I was invited by Making Families Count to be a part of the co development and co delivery of this training with Autism Oxford for Surrey. We have been delivering it over the past year to health staff and schools, and more recently an adapted version to families in Surrey. I talk about Danny as part of my presentation ♥️🏋🏻‍♂️

Mammoth Power Gym will now be selling it’s equipment on a first come first served basis.

We had a delay on this as we wanted the most sentimental pieces which Daniel bought to go to another close to home gym who shares the same passion for powerlifting that he had. Through being there we felt like it could continue to be used by the same and also a new community, to help improve aspiring and professional powerlifters individual journey’s.

I’m really pleased to share the following from the ZSA:

We need your help to shape new training for autistic people

The Zero Su***de Alliance team is currently working with Greater Manchester Su***de Prevention Board (part of the Greater Manchester Integrated Care Partnership) to develop su***de awareness training to support autistic people and we need your help.

We’d like to hear about your experiences and get your views to help shape the content of this course.

Who we’d particularly like to hear from
• autistic people
• parents, carers and family members of autistic people
• professional working with autistic people

How you can get involved
• one-to-one call to talk about experiences
• be part of a virtual focus group
• complete our online questionnaire
We’ll be sharing this across our social media channels from tomorrow and would be grateful for any support you can give to sharing these messages.

We are developing a su***de awareness e-learning training with Greater Manchester Su***de Prevention Board. The training will be around thirty minutes in duration and will follow the See, Say, Support model. It will train users how to SEE the signs that an autistic person is struggling, SAY the wor....

Sunday the 30th of July will sadly be our last day of opening. But to celebrate the time we have been open and the memories made, we’ll be having a bbq from 3pm onwards in which all are welcome. Feel free to come and reminisce on old/recent times, or train and have some post workout food 💪🏼 We look forward to seeing you 😁

Important announcement
It is with great regret that Mammoth Power Fitness and Wellbeing Gym will close on the 30th July 2023.
This is not what we ever wanted to do as had hoped to continue the gym as part of Danny’s legacy.
As many know, the gym had every intention of moving this year. Unfortunately due to personal and economic complications that can no longer happen. Myself and my family have kept Mammoth going for over 5 years now since Daniel passed. The gym has forever been a non profit establishment which due to the increase in bills and wages, we have had to now subsidise for which we simply cannot afford to do.
I/we never had any intention to run or own a gym, but felt it was right to give it a try in respect for my brother. We all wish we could keep this going but due to other jobs, the expenses and our lifestyles, the gym does not get the attention and passion it needs to thrive.
We'd like to thank all our customers for their support since our loss, you've been part of our family, the Mammoth family, meaning so much more than just being our members.
We will be offering reduced memberships for the remainder of the month as we nearer closure for anyone wanting to make some last memories.
