Another successful delivery completed—this time moving a Broom 50 from Lowestoft down to Swanwick on the River Hamble.

A great trip and a real pleasure at the helm. The Broom range of motor cruisers continues to impress with their solid handling, comfort, and reliability—always a joy to drive on both coastal passages and inland waters.

Now it’s back to reality with cars and trains for the journey home… but not a bad way to spend the working day.

If you’re considering a professional delivery or need bespoke training for your vessel, feel free to get in touch.

We were invited to attend the World Cruising Club Ocean Sailing Weekend to support the team and share our experiences. The event brings together those considering the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers—an incredible adventure across the ocean.

We wrapped up the weekend by taking part in the “Meet the Skippers” panel, answering questions from the WCC team and attendees. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, share stories, and offer insight into life at sea.

Hopefully, our journey has inspired others to take the leap and be part of this unforgettable experience. ⛵

Following our Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Training Centre inspection this week, we’re delighted to report that we received a clean bill of health, with no actions required.
The inspector highlighted our professional approach to training and was particularly impressed with our Commercially coded Rib and the layout of our training room, including our Raymarine Axiom Pro chart plotters equipped with radar.
We offer a full range of RYA Powerboat courses, including Superyacht Tender training, as well as shorebased courses covering everything from navigation to first aid.
Whether you’re a leisure boating enthusiast or a commercial seafarer, we’d be happy to support your training needs—please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

We’re keeping busy 🙂 and truly love sharing what we do—hopefully it inspires others along the way.

Great powerboat training session yesterday for our clients at Lowestoft. Started the day in thick fog and finished with strong tidal conditions—challenging but incredibly rewarding. Valuable experience handling reduced visibility and learning to work with the tide rather than against it.

We had a wonderful evening at the Royal Norfolk & Suffolk Yacht Club, where we gave a talk on the ups and downs of ocean sailing. Over 45 people attended, and we enjoyed a great supper together. It was fantastic to spend time with such welcoming and enthusiastic club members.

Great to welcome Raymarine to the Royal Norfolk & Suffolk Yacht Club this week, where they showcased their navigation equipment to members and visitors.

We also had the opportunity to demonstrate our training centre setup to the Raymarine team. Using their top-of-the-range Axiom Pro plotters, we provide clients with a truly hands-on learning experience.

It was fantastic to receive such positive feedback from the Raymarine team on how we use their equipment for training on our RYA & bespoke courses.

Today was all about helping others. Moving a yacht with a failed engine from Royal Norfolk & Suffolk Yacht Club to Beacons Marina in Lowestoft. Towing through a commercial port requires good communications and look out. ABP who run the port were as ever very helpful with two bridge lifts.
