The league table after today's result see us move from 8th in the league to 6th well done lads!

So today we had our Derby day game vs pakefield crusaders always a good grudge game

We hosted the away team at normanston park

Following the warm up the home keeper gully pulling up with an injury unfortunately unable to make the start of the game stand in keeper and manager Ben Delf stepped in for the injured 1st choice keeper

1st half

Game started well Hopton and Hawthorn settling in nicely with the defence looking strong keeping pakefield at bay with a few shots on goal our delfy comfortably keeping the shots out the home team then started to build up some lovely football with plenty of chances failing to find the back of the net then a lovely counter attack saw a save from the home keeper which then lead to some lovely counter attacking football finding Sean Segev in front of goal this time finding the back of the net 1-0 to the home team

2nd half

With no changes at half time made by home team trying to continue with what had happened in the first half with controlling the game Tom Wells pulling up forcing a change saw Lewis Gill returning from injury hawthorn remained strong with more solid defensive work midfield passing the ball around comfortably and the strikers pressing for every loose ball hawthorn soon found them selves back in front of goal again and yes it was sean segev on the ball once again with a beautiful top corner finish 2-0 to the home team pakefield tried to push for something but with more changes from the home team saw the return of Jack Keith from injury and more subs with Jake Humphreys Ryan Norman and duss entering the field of play the home team held their ground to the final whistle a good performance and another 3 points on the board

Well done today lads first game of the season started off perfectly with a 10-0 win over afc united reserves

We started today with focus and plenty of energy first 10 minutes we had earned 2 corners and 2 throw ins from dangerous positions moments later danny getting the opener the team wasn't happy with that so scored another 5 goals in the first half coming from

2nd half saw 2 changes at the break the team didn't give up and scored 4 more goals

Then in the dying minutes we won a freekick on the edge of their area our captain cal
Stepped up laced it taking a questionable glancing touch from jamie h and finding the back of the net after a pint to reflect goal is awarded to cal
Final whistle shortly after some very good football played today never eased up on the opposition massive well done to everyone involved today if Danny didn't get a hatrick it would of been the whole team for man of the match

So well done Danny for man of the match today

Our win today has put us at the top of the table
