On Sunday 7 September many members gathered for OBBC’s last event for the year - the Malcolm Howard Cup. It was a perfect day weather wise, sunny but not too hot. After 18 ends and tea and scones, the winning team was announced. Lyn Meades, Robert Barker and Kevin Hunter.

Hi to all those who might have been coming to the Diane Bryan Trophy day this coming Saturday 15 August, due to various reasons we have had to postpone it until later in the year.

Here’s a new entry for your diary - the Malcolm Howard Cup will be played for on Sunday 6 September (not Saturday 5 as previously advertised) starting at 2pm. During this competition, we will collect all the ladies scores and the highest number of shots will win the Diane Bryan Trophy.

It was Presidents Day at Oulton Broad Bowls Club on Saturday 18 July. Photos are of President Gill Smith cutting the cake and the winners of the trophy.
20 people got together to celebrate this day. Starting at 11.00 am, there were a couple of games then a lovely Fish and Chip lunch delivered by Sole Bay Fish and Chip shop in Westwood Avenue. Another couple of games rounded off with tea and cake! Raffle prizes were supplied by OBBC members and the proceeds went into the Club funds. It wasn’t too hot so a good day was enjoyed by all.
