Largo Bay Sailing Club- LBSC

Largo Bay Sailing Club- LBSC Largo Bay Sailing Club is one of Scotland's premier dinghy racing clubs. The bay provides great shelter for a whole range of water-sports activities.

Largo Bay Sailing Club is a dinghy racing club on the south coast of Fife less than an hour from Edinburgh and Perth. The bay is sheltered, little affected by the tides and is reckoned to be one of the best sailing areas in Scotland. We have handicap racing on Sundays from March to October with an additional race on Wednesday evenings from May to the beginning of September. There is an Open Regatt

a, usually in June, a Closed Regatta in August and five other trophy races which, along with the Series races, makes some 90 races per season. A number of years ago we opened an extension to the clubhouse giving us bigger changing rooms and increasing the number of showers threefold. A state of the art gas boiler has been installed to ensure these showers can run hot forever! We have an active junior training section using the club Laser Picos and are currently developing an adult training facility using Laser 2000s that we hope will bring sailors back into the sport. Great to see so many people enjoying the Wednesday night racing! ⛵️

The races have been close, tactical and very competitive, with some brilliant numbers out on the water. It was especially great to see an Enterprise taking the win in the last race! 👏

Looking forward to seeing everyone down at the club on Sunday. Let’s get another great fleet out and have a cracking Sunday race! 🌊⛵️

🚤 Club RIB Update & Great Turnout! ⛵

The club RIB is all ready to head off to boatsbybarbourmarine for a bit of TLC after another unfortunate case of dirty fuel being put in it! 🔧🚤

We’re hoping to have it back and ready to go for Wednesday Night Racing. 🏁⛵

We also had a fantastic turnout at the club yesterday, with a brilliant mix of boats on the water:

⛵ 1 Pico
⛵ 1 Laser 2000
⛵ 1 RS600
⛵ 1 Enterprise
⛵ 1 Solo
⛵ 2 Laser 4.7s
⛵ 3 Laser Standards

Great to see so many boats out and plenty of activity around the club. Thanks to everyone who came along! 🙌

See you Wednesday! 🌊⛵

Just to update everyone: Largo Bay Sailing Club still doesn’t have working toilets.

Unfortunately, it’s not good news. It appears the drain is broken and will need to be dug up, so we’ll be without toilet facilities for another weekend.

We’ll keep everyone updated as soon as we know more. Sorry for the inconvenience.

⛵️ What a cracking Sunday down at Largo Bay Sailing Club! ☀️

We had 4 sailors taking part in our Sunday morning training, followed by 5 boats out on the water for some great racing. Conditions couldn’t have been much better!

A huge thank you to Petter and Kevan Gibb for running the Sunday morning training and helping everyone develop their skills.

A special thanks also to Lynne Gibb for stepping onto the rescue boat, allowing Callum Gibb to get out on the water and enjoy the sailing.

Days like these are what our club is all about – great sailing, great people, and fantastic teamwork. 💙⛵️

Good afternoon, everyone.

Please keep the middle of the Orry clear at all times, from post to post along its full length, as shown in the video. Scottish Water requires unrestricted access to this area.

Thank you for your cooperation.
