Congratulations to all who attended this weekends Hill Skills course.
The Hill Skills course is aimed at the beginner hill walker and ideal for those interested in developing a practical understanding of how to plan walks, become familiar with the use of a map, learn about the equipment required and also gain an understanding of the effects of weather, how to deal with emergencies and gain a valuable understanding of the upland environment.
Date: 6 – 7 March, 22 – 23 March, 10 – 11 April, 26 – 27 April 2025
Group course dates by arrangement or for 2 or more.

Lowland Leader Walking Award – Assessment
The award is for those who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions. Syllabus includes: Route planning, basic map work, equipment, dealing with hazards, leadership and group management, environmental and access awareness. You can register and attend training at 17 years of age.
