GOLD MARK SUCCESS FOR CAISTOR YARBOROUGH ACADEMY! 🏅

We’re delighted to share that Caistor Yarborough Academy have successfully achieved the School Games Gold Mark for 2025/26! 🌟

This prestigious award recognises the Academy’s outstanding commitment to PE, school sport and physical activity, providing students with a wide range of opportunities to participate, compete and thrive throughout the academic year.

As one of our key host sites for both primary and secondary School Games events, Caistor Yarborough Academy plays a vital role in supporting sporting opportunities for young people across the partnership. Their commitment to developing sport and physical activity, both within the Academy and across the wider community, is greatly valued and appreciated.

This Gold Mark is testament to the dedication, enthusiasm and hard work of staff and students alike, who continue to champion the importance of sport and physical activity.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ What an afternoon at Caistor Yarborough Academy! 🌟

Our KS1 Athletics Multi-Skills Festival welcomed 1️⃣3️⃣0️⃣fantastic pupils from five partner schools: Caistor, Binbrook, Market Rasen, Kelsey, Grasby All Saints. An amazing 2️⃣8️⃣4️⃣ at both Louth Academy & Caistor Yarborough in a fortnight.

Pupils enjoyed a 1️⃣5️⃣ station carousel of activities, expertly supported by our incredible 2️⃣8️⃣ Year 7/8/9 Sports Leaders in beautiful sunshine.☀️

It was brilliant to see so much perseverance, resilience and enthusiasm on display as pupils experienced a variety of athletics-based activities, developing fundamental movement skills whilst having fun with friends from across the partnership.

Today’s festival was inspired by key messages from the YST National Summit in Telford, as we continue to promote a strong sense of belonging, provide opportunities for all, and support every young person to develop and achieve through sport and physical activity.

Well done to every pupil, teacher and Sports Leader who made the event such a success! 👏🏻🌟💙

🎳 Tenpin Bowling Fun at Marshchapel Infant School! 🎳

This morning, we had the pleasure of visiting Marshchapel Infant School, where we introduced pupils to the exciting sport of tenpin bowling.

We worked with Reception and Year 1 pupils, followed by Nursery, giving all the children the opportunity to develop their bowling skills, confidence & teamwork. It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm, effort, and enjoyment throughout the sessions.

A huge well done to our Star Player Award winners and our School Games Self-Belief Value winners, who demonstrated excellent determination, confidence, and positive attitudes throughout the morning.

A total of 24 pupils took part, and it was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and having a go!

Well done to all the pupils and staff for making it such an enjoyable visit. 👏🏻

This prestigious award recognises the school’s outstanding commitment to PE, school sport and physical activity, providing students with a wide range of opportunities to participate, compete and lead throughout the academic year.

As one of our main host sites for both primary and secondary School Games events throughout the year, KEVIGS continues to play a vital role in supporting sporting opportunities for young people across the local area. Their commitment to developing sport and physical activity within their own school community, alongside supporting the wider partnership, is greatly appreciated.

⚾🤝 Year 3 & 4 Scatterball Rounders Festival 🤝⚾

What a fantastic afternoon of Scatterball Rounders at King Edward VI Grammar, Louth !

A huge well done to the 1️⃣2️⃣6️⃣ Year 3 and 4 pupils who represented five schools across our partnership, including Faldingworth, Grasby All Saints, Kidgate Academy, St Michael’s and Grainthorpe. With 1️⃣2️⃣ teams participating, the festival was a wonderful celebration of participation, teamwork and enjoyment.

Throughout the afternoon there was a fantastic atmosphere, with pupils showing great camaraderie, encouragement and sportsmanship. It was brilliant to see children from different schools coming together, making new friendships and creating lasting memories through sport.

Events like these highlight the strength of our local school sport network, fostering a real sense of belonging, togetherness and community amongst our schools.

Thank you to all the pupils, staff and 28 Y10s who helped make the festival such a success.
