This photo popped up on my memories from three years ago so thought I would make a quick post. A lot of people ask me what’s the most “optimal” way to go about building muscle ? 🤔

People ask this like there is some magic exercise or routine that’s going to get them to their goals that much quicker. The truth is muscle growth is painfully slow. Sure there’s more optimal ways to train.

However, in reality training optimal for me is training hard meaning going close to or to faliure with good technique and focusing on progressive overload. Never missing a session and 100% dialed in on my nutrition and sleep.

So my advice to you is to focus on the basics i.e. sleeping well, training hard with good form and focusing on your diet 👊🏻 for god sake stop worrying about how to hit the short head or long head of your bicep or that new excercise you’ve seen on TikTok. Focus on the basic aspects and you will grow! Once you get into the advanced stage you can worry about them complex issues that make 0.00001% difference. Hope everyone is having a good week so far 💪🏻

Only trying to gain 0.5lbs per week as any more than that in my opinion warrants unwanted fat gain… remember slow and steady wins the race 🐢 .
