๐โฌURO-โฌLECTRIX MID ULSTER CUP, tue 10/17 nov, SEMI FINALS๐
Great ties drawn in the โฌURO-โฌLECTRIX MID ULSTER CUP, 10/17 November, SEMI FINALS.
Amazingly, the oldest and same trophy played for in Northern Ireland football since 1887, has not been won more than once by any team in the 2020's, although all 4 semi finalists now have a chance to do so in the early 2027 Final.
Across the last 7 years with 7 different winners proves just how competitive this competition has been and how difficult to win - 2020 Loughgall, 2021 Glenavon, 2022 Warrenpoint Town, 2023 Newry City, 2024 Portadown, 2025 Dungannon Swifts, and 2026 Annagh United, the current Cup holders.
Further, in all of the last 4 seasons each of the Mid Ulster Cup winners have gone onto other notable achievements in the season - 2023 Newry City NIFL Championship winners, 2024 Portadown NIFL Championship winners, 2025 Dungannon Swifts Irish Cup winners, and 2026 Annagh United Play-Off finalists to the NIFL Premiership.
Reigning Cup holders and first time winners Annagh United, the current leaders of the NIFL Championship, travel the short distance to fellow Championship team Loughgall, 3 times winners.
22 times record Cup winners Glenavon, current NIFL Championship title challengers, travel along the M1 to NIFL Premiership Dungannon Swifts, consecutive Irish Cup winners these last 2 seasons and 11 times Mid Ulster Cup winners.
Best wishes to all.
