UK Javelin Carnival
This is an Annual Event held at Loughborough University
We have a Grade 3 permit with IPC Accreditation also granted. This means that any qualifcation standards achieved over the 2 days, will be considered for selection purposes for any of the Major Championships on offer in that calendar year. We also have a variety of fun events and family orientated opportunities as well as

running a raffle and fundraising for our chosen charity, the Ron Pickering Memorial Fund (). We choose this charity because it has supported so many Javelin Throwers historically and we believe it is important to put something back into the sport every year. We would hope that as a result of the competitive opportunity that we provide, athletes will rise to the occasion and produce memorable performances throughout the weekend! All ages and abilities are welcome and in the situation where we have significant entry numbers in a particular age group, we will grade the event and run 'A' and 'B' competitions to give all athletes the right competitive opportunity for their standard. Just a little update that we've provisionally booked 8th August 2021 for the next Loughborough Javelin Festival. It looks likely to be the best yet, with Neuff Athletics coming on board to join our existing event and University sponsors such as BASC, Red Bull, Pulse Roll and Maximuscle. We'll also be partnering with Neuff for a try before you buy opportunity. Which we feel is very important, before people spend money on javelins.
