Take a look behind the scenes at the School Games National Finals 2026 and discover what it’s like to volunteer at one of the UK’s biggest school sport events. 🙌

Our volunteers supported the sports, athletes and event teams throughout the games, helping create an unforgettable experience for young people taking part. 🏆

Alongside their volunteering roles, our young volunteers also had the chance to develop their media skills. Through dedicated media workshops, they learned how to interview athletes, create video content and tell the stories of the School Games National Finals from behind the scenes. ❤️

The experience gave young people the chance to build confidence, develop new skills and play an important role in making the School Games National Finals happen. 🏃‍➡️

We want to take a moment to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who made the 2026 School Games National Finals possible! 🙌

With over eleven sports taking place, a huge number of talented athletes joining us and around 250 volunteers ensuring the event ran smoothly, it's safe to say it was a jampacked four days filled with inspiration, sporting achievements and coming together to celebrate each other. 🏆🏅

Events like these are an important reminder of the power that sport has to change lives and it's only possible due to the support of our event organisers, volunteers and of course the young people who take part, so a massive thank you to you all. ❤️
