FAQs
Below are a collection of points that respond to commonly asked questions posed by prospective members of the club to assist in providing a consistent response to enquiries.
Can you tell me about the club?
The club is an informal target shooting club with an 80 yard airgun range and a 90 metre archery range.
We are an amateur club not a business. The club is run by unpaid volunteers in their spare time.
We are open from 08:00 until dusk every day except Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and we also close for occasional Range Maintenance Days.
We offer a one-hour Archery Experience or Airgun Experience for those just wanting to ‘Have a Go’ using the club equipment. This must be pre-booked as we do not cater for drop ins
We don’t provide air for pre-charged airguns or sell pellets airguns or anything else.
The club has a clubroom with a fridge, microwave, kettle and separate toilet block.
The club provides complimentary tea and coffee, but Bring your own Mug!

All new members must have completed an induction for the discipline(s) they want to shoot to join the club. Inductions take on average half an hour, after which the prospective member is able to shoot safely under the club rules. These must be pre-booked as we do not cater for drop ins
Inductions are by appointment: please call 07548 117901 for archery inductions and 07785 551031 for airgun inductions.
Archery inductions for complete beginners are taken by Archery GB qualified instructors using club equipment. Inductions for experienced archers are taken by a club officer.
Airgun inductions by club officers use the club’s spring, pre-charged and CO2 powered airguns.
All members must sign-in on arrival and have there membership card clearly visible and are then covered by the clubs third-party insurance.
