As another fantastic season comes to an end, Chairman David Bonser reflects on a year filled with success, progress and togetherness both on and off the pitch.

As we mark Volunteers’ Week, we want to say a huge thank you to every volunteer at Loughborough Rugby Club.

Your hard work, dedication and commitment week in, week out—both in and out of season—never go unnoticed. Whether you’re on the field, off the field, or working tirelessly behind the scenes, you are the people who make our club what it is.

From supporting players and organising events to maintaining facilities and helping rugby thrive in our community, your efforts are at the heart of everything we do. You play a vital role in growing grassroots rugby and inspiring the next generation of players.

🏉🐯 A fantastic weekend for our U11s boys! 🐯🏉

At the weekend, our U11s had the opportunity to watch Leicester Tigers in action at home – an experience they’ll remember for a long time!

Rugby isn’t just about the matches played on the pitch; it’s about everything that happens off it too. Through rugby, our young players learn valuable life skills including teamwork, respect, discipline, enjoyment, and sportsmanship. 🤝💪

Most importantly, they build friendships that can last a lifetime. ❤️

At Loughborough Rugby Club, our Minis & Juniors section is always welcoming new players aged 5–16, regardless of experience.

If your child would like to give rugby a go, have fun, stay active, and make new friends, why not join us? We’re running FREE summer touch rugby sessions throughout the summer, with the new rugby season officially kicking off again in September.

A brilliant opening partnership from father-and-son duo Steve & Joe Straker set the platform making 30 and 68! 💥👏

With 132 on the board, it was always going to be close, but some excellent bowling got us over the line. Wickets for Bowles and Price helped secure a victory! 🎯🔥

Great effort all round and a fantastic game of cricket. 🏏☀️
