πŸ’œπŸ€ HARRIERS 2 vs HAWKS 2 πŸ’œπŸ€

What a game! πŸ”₯

A thrilling contest from start to finish saw Harriers hold their nerve and secure a fantastic 46-45 victory.

The team showed great composure under pressure, moving the ball confidently through the court and creating strong attacking opportunities. Defensive pressure was outstanding throughout, while the attacking end remained calm and clinical when it mattered most.

As Hawks pushed hard in the final stages, Harriers dug deep and held on to claim the win by a single goal! πŸ’ͺ

🌟 Player of the Match: Lucy Carveth
πŸ† Captain’s Player: Lauren Mahoney

A brilliant all-round team performance with every player contributing to an exciting and hard-fought victory. Well done, ladies! πŸ’œπŸ€

πŸ’œπŸ€ HARRIERS 3 vs MELBOURNE T πŸ’œπŸ€

A challenging game today against a strong Melbourne T side, finishing 49-30.

Despite the result, the team showed great determination throughout, moving the ball well through mid-court and battling hard against a quick, defensive opposition. The defensive unit was outstanding, and the attack worked tirelessly against some intense pressure.

🌟 Player of the Match: Jenny Turner
πŸ† Captain’s Player: Natalie Warned

A fantastic effort from everyone on court today, with plenty of positives to take into the next fixture. Thank you to everyone who helped and supported the team throughout the game! πŸ’œ

πŸ’œπŸ€ HARRIERS 2 vs ASHBY ICE πŸ’œπŸ€

A tough match today against a strong Ashby Ice side, finishing 46-26.

The scoreline didn’t reflect the effort and determination shown across the court, with some fantastic passages of play, great movement, and a strong finish to the game, drawing the final quarter! πŸ’ͺ

🌟 Player of the Match: Skye Castle
πŸ† Captain’s Player: Amy Maltravas

A huge well done to everyone who stepped onto the court today and gave 100%. Plenty of positives to take forward into the next game!

Harriers 1 played against Tamworth Roosters Red Sunday, final score being 45-42 to Roosters!

MVP Alice Jordan
POM Jess Beasly

What a great game today folks, with just a bare seven including three H1 squad players and four H3 players it was an impressive performance by everyone.
I know that for the H3 players it was a baptism of fire πŸ”₯ with the definite speed of the game.
The feedback from everyone has been how everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and I believe would like to do it again.

Charlie I hope that you’re feeling okay and you haven’t overdone it?
Great court play by Liz, Natalie and Alice with great support, communication and teamwork by ChiChi, Hannah and Jess as centre on her second game of the day. Wowee

You lot will be tired bunnies 🐰 🐰 tonight.

So opposions Pom going to super whiz Jess very well deserved and my nomination going to Alice. Well deserved Alice great switching with Hannah in defence, very smooth and I am sure a great learning curve too.

Well drink lots tonight to safeguard against a buildup of Lactic acid.
Best wishes

Welcome back to netball for the summer league. And a very big welcome back to Charlie and Nnenna πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Thanks to everyone - including Caro and Abby D for turning out on such a hot day πŸ₯΅and putting in the work.

After the match I looked at the scores (46-31 to Hawks 3) - yes we lost - there is however some really interesting and positive news.

At the end of the first quarter we were finely matched at 9-9 apiece 😁 – and the last quarter we won 10 – 8. πŸ™Œ I was also advised after the match that the team may also have some of their higher division team members playing today. So we should take heart from all of that.

We learnt about how some combinations work well and how some didn’t - that’s all learning. And whilst it is lovely to win - the summer league is about inclusive netball ie everyone having an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful game that is netball.

Opposition player of the match goes to Abby T πŸ‘β€“ great energy as ever. And captains’ player goes to Nnenna for a sterling effort and pressure on a tall goal shooter in her first game in a while.πŸ‘

Next game of the season is on 7th June 2026 at 9.55 am against Melbourne T.

Have a fab couple of weeks lovely ladies.❀️❀️

Harriers 2 played against Hinckly Hornettes Sunday, final score being 40-29 to Harriers!

MVP Joella Smith
POM Ella Astbury

Yes Harriers 2! What a great start to the summer league with a 40-29 win against Hornettes BWG. πŸ‘

The game gave us a good chance to try out different combinations across the court (so thanks for being flexible with us), and the rotations never disrupted the flow of the game β€” showing the strength and depth we have throughout the squad πŸ’ͺ

Defensively, there were some strong rebounds and interceptions from Joella, Sally, Kate and Isla, with the team doing well to turn defence into attack and push the ball up the court.

Through centre court, everyone utilised the channels and looked for multiple options, helping the ball move smoothly through the phases.

In attack, there were some great feeds into the shooters, special mention to Anna with some great consistency.

Shooting confidence continued to grow as the game went on, lovely combinations between Ella, Lauren and Jenny!

Player of the Match goes to Ella, fantastic shooting and movement around the circle with a cheeky stint at WA πŸ’ͺ πŸ”₯

Captains player goes to…Joella. Great comeback after injury. Solid presence at keeper with fantastic defending! πŸ’ͺ πŸ”₯

Also! πŸ˜‚ thanks to Liz and Caro for scoring!

Looking forward to the next game on the 7th, enjoy the sunshine β˜€οΈ 🍻
