Over the last weekend UBBC competed at MET regatta and achieved some great results across the board.

The highlight of the weekend was the Men’s 1v who won the Open Academic 8+ category on the Sunday.

All the results from the weekend are as follows:

Saturday:

W8+ Academic (A): 25th overall, 5th academic
W8+ Academic (B): 36th overall, 9th academic
M8+ Academic (A): 5th overall, 2nd academic
M8+ Academic (B): 38th overall, 8th academic

Sunday:

W8+ Academic (A) : 18th overall, 3rd academic
W8+ Academic (B) : 25th overall, 5th academic

GB April trials 🇬🇧

Last month we had our very own Abdelrahman Farag and 5 UBBC alumni compete against the best that GB rowing has to offer at the Great Britain national team trials.

Ab came 2nd in the C final in a composite with Leander. This secured his pair 14th overall and ranks him 2nd u23. Massive congratulations to Ab and we look forward to seeing what he can achieve going forward.

We also had a display of excellent results from our UBBC alumni: Lara Grant 6th W2x (1st U23), Robbie Prosser 13th M2- , Jake Birch 7th M2x (3rd U23), Joe Cunliffe 8th M2x, Efa Wilson 12th W2-

⬛️🟥 Alumni Bristol Sports Scholars at November GB Trials

A massive congratulations to Robbie Prosser, UBBC alumni class of 2023, who won the M2- this past weekend.

Making it to the semi final in the Prince Albert 4+ at Henley Royal Regatta in 2022, Robbie has also won an U23 gold medal in the GB 4+ at the U23 World Rowing Championships in 2022 during his time at Bristol. Last year, Robbie was rowing at Cal Berkeley as a post-graduate student. We are extremely proud of his achievement this weekend.

We would also like to mention Jake Birch and Lara Grant, class of 2025, two ex-Bristol Scholars at this weekends GB trials in Boston. Jake came 13th in the M1x and Lara came 19th in W1x.
