Crowdfunder to get Team Scotland to the Para Surf World Championships in California.... just a few weeks away!!

If you haven’t heard of Para surfing before it’s like the Paralympics for surfing, in fact by the end of this year could be selected for the 2028 Paralympic Games for the very first time.

The total estimated cost of the trip is £18,688 but thanks to a very generous donation from the Colin Weir Charitable Foundation, we have been able to launch this fundraiser with a 50% boost. A very warm thank you to the trust from everyone at SurfABLE Scotland and the Scottish Para Surf Team.

A little later in the year than hoped but excitingly here is the first of our Coastal Open Water Swim sessions.

Tue 13th at Lossie West Beach, 7:30 - 8:30pm. Suitable for adults with a basic swimming stroke looking for an introduction to Front Crawl in the sea.

Lessons are now open to everyone and not just the older and more experienced surfers getting in early for some cooler sessions.

Monday the 1st of May is a bank holiday and we'll be at the beach getting back into the swing of busy days with 1-1 sessions, assisted and non assisted groups.

We’re looking forward to seeing all our surfers back and if you’re new and wanting to see what all the fun is about, please feel free to get in touch anytime - 07938214165

Having a look at our online calendar and dropping down to the beach to watch some of our sessions and look round the van and equipment, can be a great way to build familiarity and manage expectation for anyone who may be a little nervous.

After some incredible ventures into both open water swim coaching and leading groups for dooking in a safe instructor lead environment, it’s now through SurfABLE Scotland that I’ll look to run and develop more sessions 👍
