This year marks the 100th Anniversary of Lorton Tennis Club!
To celebrate this milestone, we’re hosting a special anniversary event at the Hundith Hill Hotel on Saturday, 8th November.

It was a fine haul for Lorton Tennis Club and members last night at the annual West Cumbria Tennis League end of season party. We walked away with trophies for the Winter League, Mixed League and Singles League. Lorton players also picked up the Top Ranked Player awards for the Winter Leagues and the Ladies League.
Congratulations to Keswick Ladies on winning the Ladies League and to Whitehaven on winning the Men's League - Good luck to both teams in the County Cup play-offs next month!
Huge Thanks to Podge for organising such a great event, to Rob for being a fantastic host, and to Kate from Cumbria LTA for her support and presentation! Also, Thanks to Andy and Gary who sent their contributions from afar.

Congratulations to Lorton Tennis Club players Rachel Wilson and Jo Marshall who are currently playing in the "Play Your Way to Wimbledon" tournament and after their 2 group games managed to come out unbeaten and into the quarter finals.

A massive congratulations to Jo Marshall and Rachel Wilson for making it to the finals of Road to Wimbledon! Winning the club round then the regional round and then getting to the Wimbledon final. It's been nail biting stuff with 3/4 of their Wimbledon matches won on a match tiebreak. The final is to be played this weekend.

At this year’s AGM, we bid farewell to our long-standing Chairman, Chris Edmunds, as he stepped down from his role. Over the past five years, Chris has been a driving force behind the club’s success, working tirelessly to get more people involved in tennis and steering us through the challenges of the Covid pandemic. Despite his many commitments as a busy family man, Chris has also dedicated the last two years to serving as Chairman of the West Cumbria League, a role in which he made a significant impact.

We are delighted, however, that Chris will remain an integral part of the club, continuing his invaluable contributions as a Youth Development Coordinator and Trustee.

Stepping into the role of Chairperson is Suzi McCartney, who is warmly welcomed onto the committee as we look forward to starting this new chapter for Lorton Tennis Club.
