Another week of total carnage on and off the water with the Liss boys. I can't believe it's over already but time flies when you're having fun.

Plenty of sharks caught throughout the week, some bonus species on the feathers whilst sharking and a couple of lumpy tuna on the live baits to finish the week off.

Top drawer stuff as always boys. Thanks for an awesome week and for all your efforts. Some lovely brews Rick! ๐Ÿ˜˜

Until next time...

A mixed day was what the boys fancied today so we kicked off with a stack of bream and mackerel along with combers, scad and various wrasse.

We then went on the drift for some squid and the lads all caught a few so we set the anchor for the last hour. Congers plentiful and a couple of ling to finish the day off.

Tired boys on the way home but a great day to be at sea. Sunshine, smiles and a nice bit of varied fishing.

Feeling very thankful for my mates. Pulled out the stops at short notice to get my old and tired skeg off and beautiful new stainless one fitted along with new rudder bush.

Worked over the tide and finished at midnight to be back at sea today.

Thank you gents. Top job. Massively appreciate you all.

Breamy day today. Lots of reds and blacks. Mostly returned but a few kept for the table. Also, some really good mackerel. The boys will eat well tonight and some good fun sport with plenty of species caught.

Back out today after a couple of days in for weather with strong Easterlies bringing a halt to what's been an extremely busy and thankfully settled spell.

Whilst drift fishing for sharks, the long rod lit up and after what I can only describe as one of the more technical battles with a fish we have had for a long time, Del boy managed to get this fish alongside to be measured, recovered and released.

What a fish and what a battle. At 95", it's a season best so far and a big PB for Del who did a smashing job on the rod. Proper teamwork aboard today with James, Dave, Al and, of course my wingman John all doing their bit to get this fish safely alongside.

A solitary blue shark came at pretty much the same time as this one and that was our lot. One to remember for sure.

Back on the reefs tomorrow...
Will attempt to keep updates more regular but fishing has been full on back to back days and I've let them slip a bit so I can spend some precious time with the kids when I get home.

Safe to say though, this season has been epic so far on many levels. โœŒ๏ธ

No two days the same. Thursday we found fish and went 10-8 on the tuna on trolled gear and casting. Friday we found fish and couldn't buy a bite.

That's tuna fishing and that's what keeps us coming back. The hunt to find them and the challenge of catching them. Such beautiful fish and so round for so early in the season. They've been feeding well.

Screaming reels or not, the wildlife out there is incredible. Tuna, common dolphins, Minke whales, sun fish, sharks and all the sea birds. Fantastic.

We go again today.

It's been a while since our last social media post but yes, we are still here. Thanks to you lovely people, myself and John have been kept extremely busy this season and the social media stuff has taken a back seat.

The weather for the most part has been fine at sea and has made for some exceptional days fishing.

The reefs have been throwing up some nice species. Pollack and Ling, bream and the usual species. The bass have been putting in a show on the surface some days too.

For the most part though, we have been sharking. The water clarity is superb. Gin clear is the phrase we use and temperatures 17-19 degrees C. Catch numbers have been good. Plenty of days mid to late teens and a day or two over twenty.

The biggest blue we have had lately was a shark that Graham Eley had today. A PB for him @ 120lb. A real fine fish that we tagged and sent on her way. Several other sharks into the 80s and 90s. It really has been a fantastic couple of weeks on the sharks.

Tuna have started to show up here now and we had a go at the weekend. We found fish and they were very tightly shoaled up and feeding voraciously on tiny baitfish.

The frenzies were over within a minute and very difficult to get close to. We managed to hook a fish but it threw the hook. Frustrating but part of it and we will be back at it soon.

A very special capture last week. We brought boat side, recovered and released a shark that I have wanted to catch since I saw one on Looe fish market as a boy. We have hooked and lost several in the past but on this occasion the script went our way and we all got to witness a truly stunning shark.

I'll follow up with another post on that one as it was a bit special.

Last minute cancelation 12th August leaves open an individuals day on the sharks. Please check out the website or message 07738057115 if you fancy booking on.

Fishing is hot right now. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’ฅ
