Exclusive use of swimming pool, one lesson held at a time, perfect for nervous/non swimmers. I have been swimming since I was very tiny, my love for swimming was immediate and I became a local club swimmer when I was 7 years old. I progressed to become a member of the Hillingdon Borough Swimming Squad and swam at a County level for many years, specialising in Front Crawl and Butterfly. After swimm
ing for miles (and miles!) 7 days a week, including before and after school, it took me around 25 years to come back to swimming and train as a teacher. I can now say it is one of the best things I have ever done and regret not having trained sooner. I have been teaching since 2012 and have taught a variety of ages and abilities, from 2 years to 70 years old, youโre never too young (or old!) to learn. I have been extremely lucky to have taught in many different settings, including St Michaelโs School in Otford, Combe Bank School in Sevenoaks, Dartford Grammar School for Girls and also at the amazing Olympic Pool in Stratford. My lessons are structured as 1-1, which means one teacher to one student. This allows me to concentrate on one pupil at any one time and adapt the lesson to their needs. It is very important to me to make sure my pupils enjoy their lessons and I do try to teach with a balance of discipline and fun. My ultimate aim is to inspire people to enjoy the water safely. Lessons are built and planned for each pupil individually and are based around the Swim England (previously ASA - Amateur Swimming Association) framework.
