UNSURE HOW TO START ? LET ME HELP YOU

Creating a new year diet and exercise plan can be a great way to kickstart a healthy lifestyle. Here are some steps to help you create an effective plan:

1.⁠ ⁠SET SPECIFIC GOALS: Determine what you want to achieve through your diet and exercise plan. Do you want to lose weight, improve fitness, build muscle or simply adopt healthier habits?

2.⁠ ⁠ASSESS YOUR CURRENT HABITS: Take an honest look at your current eating habits and activity levels. Identify areas that need improvement and consider what changes you can realistically make.

3.⁠ ⁠PLAN YOUR MEALS: Design a balanced and nutritious eating plan. Incorporate whole foods like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats. Consider portion sizes, and aim for a calorie deficit if weight loss is your goal.

4.⁠ ⁠MEAL PREP: To stay on track, prepare your meals and snacks in advance. This will help you avoid unhealthy food choices when you're busy or on the go. ( If you need help working out your starting MACROS ( carbs, fats protein overall Calories reach out to me)

5.⁠ ⁠CREATE AND EXERCISE ROUTINE: Decide how often and what type of exercise you will engage in. Aim for a mix of cardiovascular activities (such as walking, jogging, or cycling) and strength training exercises (such as weightlifting or bodyweight exercises).

6. START GRADUALLY : It's important to build up your fitness level gradually to avoid injuries and burnout. If you're new to exercise, start with shorter and easier workouts, slowly increasing intensity and duration over time.

7. STAY MOTIVATED : Hire a Coach or Find strategies to stay motivated throughout the year. Set small, achievable milestones, track your progress, try new workouts or recipes, reward yourself for reaching goals, and surround yourself with supportive individuals.

8. STAY HYDRATED : Drink plenty of water throughout the day to maintain proper hydration levels and support your overall health and fitness goals.( orange urine = hydrate) Electrolytes

9 REST : Remember to prioritize sufficient sleep and rest days in your plan. Adequate rest allows your body to recover and rebuild after exercise.

Remember, consistency is key. Stick to your plan as much as possible, but also be flexible and forgiving with yourself if you slip up occasionally.

☀️ CLIENT SPOTLIGHT☀️

Scott come to me after many failed 30 day transformations which kept him bouncing up and down on the scales with poor diet advice at low calories eating bland boring generic meal plan and ridiculously low calories.

Scott had been training for sometime so new his way around the gym however had no workout routine or nutritional knowledge so structure was the first thing we set about putting into place.

We decided on a long term sustainable approach rather than an aggressive diet phase so that he could still enjoy time with the family and the odd night out here and there while learning about nutrition along the way.

I created a starting workout plan custom to his current condition and with his goal in mind created multiple meal plans with food loves and hates taken into consideration to ensure he had plenty options with nutritional guidance and support 24/7 Now Scott is able to create his own meal plans and hit every goal bloody possible!

Scott has now hit an all time low of 97kg!

Let’s talk hydration!

Drinking enough water each day is crucial for many reasons: to regulate body temperature, keep joints lubricated, prevent infections, deliver nutrients to cells, and keep organs functioning properly. Being well-hydrated also improves sleep quality, cognition, and mood.

So there’s a few things to look out for when dehydrated

🟧A dry mouth

🟧 Tiredness

🟧 Having strong smelling urine

🟧 Urine that’s yellow,orange like colour

🟧Feeling hungry when your just dehydrated

Urine is the easiest way to tell, if mines not clear I will get my self a litre of water and down it with electrolytes.

Most of us start our day with caffeine when really a litre of water post waking up is all we need to rehydrate from sleep.
I used to be that guy drinking monster as soon as I wake up.

Most adults should aim for around 1.5 -2.5 litres per day.

However extra fluids will be needed when sweating more,for example through exercise out in the sun or physical based work.

Electrolytes are salts and minerals,such as sodium,potassium,chloride and bicarbonate, which are found in our blood.

You can replenish these with pink Himalayan salt or my choice is electrolyte powder.

Try switching your morning caffeine for water and electrolytes and increasing your fluid intake if your low and see the difference in your mood, energy, focus, training 🙂
