🤩🏆W5s PROMOTION 🏆🤩

OB’s Women’s 5XI have finished the season as the winners of the Brunel Division 3 league, earning a whopping 42 points!!

The final game of the season saw a fantastic performance from the team against a strong side. Needing a draw to secure promotion, things got tense with OBs going down 2-1 in the second half. With a short corner awarded in the last minute and the final whistle blown, it was all to play for! Practice made perfect and the 5s brought it back, finishing the game in a well deserved 2-2 draw 🤩

📣CAPTAIN’S SUMMARY

OB’s Mixed have had another cracking year of hockey. Finishing top of their friendly league for a 2nd season but more importantly growing to a squad of around 35 players, with 12 players making their debut for the Mixed side.

We finished the season off with a competitive inter-club match and a social at the George Inn with Harley Snook taking Captain’s Player and the Player’s Player awards. A special mention to Imy, Ella, Theo and Amelia for their achievements this year and for picking up awards.

Next season we will be entering the England Hockey Cup to see how we fare further afield!
