๐Ÿ U15 Girls Continue Winning Run Against Fox Lodge CC ๐Ÿ

Our U15 Girls produced another excellent all-round team performance to record a 14-run victory over Fox Lodge CC.

Batting first, Bready posted a competitive total of 110-2 from 16 overs, led by an outstanding unbeaten half-century from Molly Buchanan, who retired on 50 from 44 balls, including five boundaries. Molly set the platform brilliantly, with Lucy Bryson (13), Alexa Barr (19)* and Abigail McMorris (7)* all making valuable contributions to help push the score into three figures.

In reply, Fox Lodge were restricted to 96-5 from their 16 overs thanks to a disciplined bowling and fielding display. Molly Buchanan completed a superb all-round performance with 2 wickets, while Beth Buchanan and Lucy Bryson picked up a wicket apiece. A sharp run out from Molly also helped keep the pressure on the visitors.

Fox Lodgeโ€™s best resistance came from J McClean (25) and Robyn McGinnis (15)*, but Bready maintained control throughout to secure a deserved victory.

A fantastic team effort from all the girls, with everyone contributing to another excellent win. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ

๐Ÿ Bready Womenโ€™s 1st XI Secure valuable win at home to Bonds Glen CC

Bready Womenโ€™s 1st XI produced an excellent all-round performance to claim a convincing 9-wicket win over Bonds Glen Womenโ€™s XI.

After winning the toss, Bready's bowlers were in outstanding form, dismissing the home side for just 69 in 14.2 overs. Wickets were shared throughout the attack with Tiara Mitchell (2-12), Sophie Hamilton (2-14), Alix Dalzell (2-13) and Corinne Young (2-0 from 2 balls) all claiming two wickets apiece. Millie Spence also chipped in with a wicket as Bready kept the pressure on throughout the innings.

In reply, Bready made light work of the target, reaching 71-1 in just 9.4 overs. Ella Wasson led the way with a fluent 32, including three boundaries and a six, before becoming the only wicket to fall. Captain Lucy McGranaghan guided the side home unbeaten on 16, while Millie Spence finished the chase in style with an unbeaten 6.

A strong team performance with contributions right across the side sees the women continue their impressive form.

๐Ÿ Bready CC U11 Boys Reach Another Final! ๐Ÿ

Our U11 Boys booked their place in another final with an impressive 6-wicket victory over Strabane in a superb all-round team performance.

The bowlers set the platform by restricting Strabane to just 51 runs. Dawson, Ben and Finlay each claimed a wicket, while Kolten produced a match-winning spell, finishing with outstanding figures of 3 wickets for just 1 run from his 2 overs.

In reply, Bready chased down the target comfortably. Alex led the way with a patient and well-constructed 21 runs, supported by Finlayโ€™s valuable 12 runs as the boys reached the target with four wickets to spare.

A fantastic team effort with every player contributing to another memorable win and a place in the final.

Well done to all the boys and thank you to Strabane for a spirited and sporting game.

๐Ÿ Menโ€™s 1st XI Fall Just Short at Fox Lodge

Our Menโ€™s 1st XI were narrowly defeated by 4 wickets as Fox Lodge chased down 225 with 8 balls to spare.

After being asked to bat, Bready posted 224/9 from their 50 overs. Contributions came throughout the innings, with Kyle Magee (33), David Rankin (29) and Kenzi Hall (27) all getting starts before David Scanlon produced a superb unbeaten 66 from just 51 balls, including 7 fours and 3 sixes, to give Bready a competitive total.

In reply, Fox Lodge were led by Jason Milliganโ€™s excellent 80, while Craig Doherty added a quick-fire 51 and Gayan Maneeshan contributed 50. Bready fought hard with the ball, David Scanlon taking 2 wickets and Matthew Campbell, Charlie Downey, Travis Faulkner and Kenzi Hall all claiming one wicket each, but Fox Lodge reached 225/6 in the 49th over.

A hard-fought contest that unfortunately went against the 1st XI, with some of positives to take from the performance.

๐Ÿ 5th XI Win by 11 Runs Against Glendermott 3rd XI ๐Ÿ

Our 5th XI secured a hard-fought 11-run victory over Glendermott 3rd XI after posting 158/7 from their 30 overs.

Jake Crumley top-scored with a patient 38, while Alfie Browne finished unbeaten on 33 and Ricky Spence provided early momentum with a quickfire 27. Valuable contributions throughout the innings, along with 27 extras, helped Bready reach a competitive total.

In reply, Glendermott were bowled out for 147 in 29.1 overs. Cody Crumley starred with the ball, claiming excellent figures of 3 for 27, while Alfie Browne also picked up 3 wickets. Lindsey Allen (2 wickets) and Jake Crumley (2 wickets) provided crucial support as they kept their opponents in check despite resistance from Tyler Lynch (34) and Craig Lynch (26).

A strong all-round team performance sees the 5th XI secure a well-earned victory. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

Unfortunately it wasnโ€™t our Womenโ€™s 1st XIโ€™s day as Eglinton Women secured a deserved 7-wicket victory.

Batting first, Bready posted 95/9 from their 24 overs. Jodie Spence and Corinne Young top-scored with 20 runs apiece, while Sophie Hamilton added 13. Eglintonโ€™s Jenni Jackson proved the difference with the ball, producing an outstanding spell of 6 wickets for 21 runs.

In reply, Eglinton reached their target in 14.2 overs. Alice McLaughlin finished unbeaten on 21, while LKA Carmichael (17) and Jenni Jackson (18*) helped guide the visitors home.

Breadyโ€™s wickets were shared between Eimear Wasson, Jodie Spence and Sophie Hamilton with one apiece.

A tough result, but the squad will look to bounce back in their next fixture on Monday night against Bonds Glen CC ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ
