Congratulations to Lisneal U13 boys on winning the Slemish Cup yesterday at Glendermott Cricket Club. Excellent bowling from all the boys with wickets for Brigade youth players Jacob Robinson, Jamie Brown and Caleb Bond helping to restrict Coleraine Grammar to 84.
Lisneal then chased down the total with 4 overs to spare with captain Caleb Bond leading by example with an excellent knock of 44 not out to steer the boys home.

Brigade 2nd XI defeated Ardmore 2nd XI by 126 runs in their NWCU League 1 match at The Bleachgreen.

Batting first, Brigade 2nd XI posted a total of 238/7 from their 40 overs. Mo Hussain anchored the innings with a top score of 85 off 109 balls, alongside William Finlay who contributed a quick 43. Ardmore's Matt Cuffe bowled effectively, taking 4 for 34 to restrict further scoring.

In reply, Ardmore 2nd XI were bowled out
for 112 in 22.2 overs. Vivek Sheoran top-scored for the side with 34. However, a disciplined bowling performance from Brigade's Callum Crowe who claimed 5 for 50, helped secure the victory.

Another strong performance by our youths tonight, this time for the U15s, as they beat Ardmore by 9 wickets.
Ardmore finished on 81/6, with Brigade sharing the wickets around the team. Six different bowlers took a wicket each, showing the strength and depth in the side. Well done to Reuben Bond, Caleb Bond, Harry Mowbray, Harry Olphert, Blake Nelson and Dawson Moore.

Brigade were able to chase down the total for the loss of one wicket with Jamie Brown top scoring with an excellent 50 not out (retired).

A very composed all round team performance with disciplined bowling, good fielding and a confident run chase.

U13 Match Reports.
On Tuesday night our U13s won at home to Ballyspallen in the league.
Excellent bowling from everyone restricted Ballyspallen to 75/5 with 1 wicket each for Caleb Bond, Jacob Robinson, Jamie Brown and Ethan Robinson.
Brigade chased down the total for the loss of 2 wickets with Ethan Robinson 26 and Jamie Brown 24 top scoring.

On Wednesday night our U13s advanced to the semi final of the cup with a 45 run victory at home to Donemana.
Caleb Bond 39 not out and Jamie Brown 32 were consistent with the bat once again taking us to a total of 118/4.
A strong bowling display saw the young Donemana side finish on 73/4 with excellent figures of 2 for 6 from 3 overs for Jacob Robinson and Bryson Brace taking his first wicket for the club.

𝑸𝟏 𝑪𝑼𝑷 𝑹𝑬𝑺𝑼𝑳𝑻 ✏️

Brigade 2nd XI secured a narrow 1-wicket victory over Fox Lodge 2nd XI in a low-scoring encounter dominated by the ball.

After winning the toss and opting to field, Brigade bowled out Fox Lodge for 118 in 24.4 overs. While opener Craig Doherty launched a fierce counter-attack with 82 off 50 balls, the rest of the host's batting lineup collapsed. Ewan Wilson ripped through the lineup to claim magnificent figures of 5 for 25 off 8 overs, while William Finlay cleaned up the tail with 4 for 21.

Chasing 119, Brigade’s top order crumbled to 15/4 against a destructive spell from Raymond Harpur (5/15). Christopher Dixon provided early momentum with 29 off 24 balls, but it was a clutch, all-round performance from Ewan Wilson that salvaged the chase. Wilson scored a match-winning, unbeaten 53 off 63 balls*.

Crucial to the victory was Christian Patterson, who joined Wilson. Patterson ground out a vital 7 runs off 42 balls, absorbing pressure to frustrate the bowlers and stall the collapse. Despite late wickets from Josh Marshall (3/43), Wilson held his nerve with the tail and finished the game in style, smashing a 6 to seal the victory as Brigade reached 123/9 in the 30th over.

Into the semi-finals. Tremendous shift from the boys to dig deep and pull a massive result - well done, lads!

Brigade Cricket Club would like to extend its warmest congratulations to Stewart Smallwoods on being honoured by His Majesty The King in the Birthday Honours List with the British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to local football.
