A great day out today for the young lads that are participating in our Culture sessions β˜€οΈ the sun even came with us πŸ™ŒπŸ» we visited the long kesh inside out exhibition on the Shankill first ,thanks to Bobby, William and Jake. They really knew their stuff and it was great to visit their new premises. All the best of luck with your exhibition. We then headed to Beatties fish and chip shop for a bite to eat then finished the day with a little tour around the village in south Belfast and a walk around their bonfire site, the boys had a great day! Thanks to Gary and the other lads who welcomed us and took time out of their day to facilitate us! Lastly thanks to Sarah-Jane for volunteering today, we really appreciate all your help.

Our estate inspection happened this morning. It was good to have the Council, NIHE and supporting communities attend the walkabout. Plenty to report: weeds, fly tipping, over grown bushes and grass.

Some bigger jobs to report:
The retaining wall on the Tullyally Road with broken plaster and copings
Broken Pavement in stevensons park, with crumbling tarmac.
Graffiti on Electric boxes and signs.

AND Much more more. I will keep you all updated with the progress.

A lovely day spent yesterday with Mark and the guys from the Fountains Men Shed. First off we got to enjoy a very informative chat with Rab from The Whitehouse in Dalaradia who then showed us a video clip explaining the story of the Battle of the Boyne. We then experienced reenactments of king William and his men, Deputy mayor Alison Bennington was there to open the event and shot the first cannon of the day. Thanks again to Mark for the opportunity and the guys for making me feel so welcome.
