The Fit Shack I help women take control of their menopause and find them again! The importance of physical fitness is not an issue of vanity, but rather one of longevity.

It's about finding out what works best for us as unique indivIduals and sticking to a personal plan. At the Fit Shack classes aim to be motivational, educational and inspirational, offering an inclusive environment for all levels of ages and abilities.

Menopause Cafe is back in November! This will be the last one in 2024 and it’s proving to be very popular.

The next one is on Wednesday 20th November at 7pm at The Lantern Hub Café , 195-205 Worple Road, Raynes Park.

At a Menopause Café people gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss menopause.

Menopause Cafés are offered:
✔️In an accessible, respectful and confidential space
✔️Open for all, regardless of gender or age
✔️With no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action
✔️On a not for profit basis
✔️Alongside refreshing drinks and cake!

It’s World Menopause Day today and the theme this year is HRT (hormone replacement therapy). Also known as MHT (menopause hormone therapy) in other countries.
There has been lots of confusion and controversy over the years about HRT so I’m going to give you a few resources to use from trusted sources.

HRT is not always the magic cure. Some women can’t take it. Some don’t want to. Some can’t tolerate it. For some it doesn’t help.

It can help alongside other lifestyle changes and for some it is just what is needed to get women off the floor and feeling well enough to actually live their lives again.

We are all different. There is not one answer for everyone. You need to find what works for you. Don’t be ashamed to ask for help. You are not a failure if you turn to HRT.

For me, it definitely helped my relationship with my kids and husband.

Menopause workouts are trending!!

There is no such thing though. Who says you have to workout in a certain way because we are going through menopause???

Yes there are things to consider such as
💪 your goals
💪 your symptoms
💪 your recovery

But symptoms can change. Your goals might change. So your workouts can change.

But don’t let anyone tell you that a certain type of exercise is not for you because you are menopausal. We are badass women. We can adapt. We can change. We can grow. We can do anything.

Join myself and Yogalina Studio for a 2 hour Mindful Menopause Workshop at the The Fit Shack studio in Merton Park on Wednesday 24th April.
