We are excited to welcome everyone to Imperial College Shorinji Kempo Society 2022-2023!

Shorinji Kempo is a Japanese martial art which trains both effective self-defence and practical philosophy based on Buddhist principles. We not only do taiso (warm-up) and techniques (kihon and waza), but also meditation (chinkon gyo) to develop ourselves physically and mentally.

Imperial College dojo trains at all levels – we are a small, close-knit, and extremely beginner-friendly society! After trainings, we usually have lunch together at 568. Look out for more from us if you are interested in joining our amazing Kempo community!
