Veras Academy LDN is a North London based, family-run karate club dedicated to developing confident, respectful, and resilient young people in our community.

Led by Sensei Jack – a former National and International Champion – our classes focus on much more than just martial arts. Karate teaches children valuable life skills including discipline, focus, self-confidence, and respect for others.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in Veras Academy LDN’s General Grading. Your hard work, discipline, and determination were clear to see, and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. Well done to all students for stepping onto the mat and giving their best.

A sincere thank you to all the parents for your continued support and for the trust you place in our club. Your encouragement and commitment make a huge difference to the students’ progress and confidence.

We would also like to extend our thanks to Sensei and Sempai for their guidance, dedication, and support during the grading.

As Sensei Jack reminded everyone during the session: “Karate is not about being better than someone else, it is about being better than you were yesterday. Every step forward, no matter how small, is progress.”

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Jack on earning his 1st Dan Black Belt!

After many years of dedication, perseverance, and hard work, Jack has finally achieved this incredible milestone. His journey hasn’t been easy—but it’s been powerful. This black belt is not just a symbol of martial skill, but of resilience, patience, and personal growth.

In a special moment during the Veras Academy LDN General Grading, Sensei Annie surprised Jack and awarded him his black belt—an unforgettable moment that perfectly captured the spirit of everything he’s worked for.
