The Eclectic Self Protection Association (ESPA) both coach and demonstrate How To Do The Eclectic Wrist Throw For Martial Arts & Self Defence Training.

The Eclectic Wrist Throw is a grappling technique to unbalance, lift, and project an opponent to the ground, relying on leverage, timing, and body mechanics rather than brute strength, and is central to arts of Asia and India.

This actual wrist throw both comes from and stems from K*k Sool Won & Ki Bon Soo which is designed to teach basic principles: of body mechanics (how your opponent’s body does and doesn’t work), body positioning (where to place your body relative to your opponent), balance (keeping yours, disrupting your opponent’s). It also teaches you basics of how to move, and even basic gross motions that with repetition can just come to you when you need it.
