Celebrate what your body can do. Mixed ability group conditioning cl A full body class with a focus on core and posture.

It’s low impact and joint friendly using light weights, but you’ll still find that signature shaking in thigh work. You’ll get clear, detailed guidance with an emphasis on alignment, breath, balance and flexibility. Through small movements and isometric holds, you’ll safely build strength and endurance - physically and mentally! After class you’ll feel strong, stretched and energised.

OMG, how did we get here again so quickly, it’s my annual charity class this Tuesday 12th December 9:30am, , garden hall.

The past 5 years we raised a few thousand pounds toward .

I’m so proud we have donated to such a fantastic small charity, knowing our donation makes a huge difference to Merton’s homeless. Please come and join me for a resistance strength class and donate a minimum of £20, no maximum donation obviously!

Sometimes it’s more about the chat than the class, right? Having a strong community around your class helps encourage and motivate clients to remain consistent, the fundamental component to successful training.
Several of these clients knew each prior but most met through my in .

And then of course, there’s the barre!

We use the barre for:

▶️ balance - when you’re on the balls of your feet in the thigh sets, make sure your fingertips are resting gently on it, no death grips!
▶️ support - whether it’s standing foldover or standing pretzel, the barre provides support for your upper body, while your lower body works hard!

Using the barre helps us give you a full body workout with high intensity, low impact movements.

Me on the mat for .fitness.uk Express class this morning. 30mins of resistance training barre, it’s the best if you’re short on time for building stronger muscles. Lots of the CF clients have taken this class 3x this week💥. 💗 it!

The women are a awesome lot, they celebrate what their bodies can do week after week, by turning up consistently, whilst still managing health issues, injury, loss, children, work, divorce, building work, all the complicated life stuff . Their community spirt is infectious.

Every hour of fitness takes a huge amount of effort mentally and physically but together, the team support and motivate each other, .

I can’t come to class because I’m injured…….as fitness instructors we hear this a lot. We get it.
Not all classes are injury friendly, but my barre class ( ) was originally designed by physiotherapist for dancers who were recovering from injuries.

Non impact exercises, which focus on joint stability, strength and flexibility. Before strength workouts were all the range, we were teaching strength class!

This is Sal a regular client coming twice weekly, she has a torn MCL, a skiing bash, last day of her holiday of course 🙄. She hasn’t missed a class 🥹,I’ve modified and assisted her recovery with the aid of her Pilates class and a physiotherapist. It’s a mind set, listening to your body and working through what is possible.

Remembering movement is the key to longevity and good health.

Ps Sal broke her ankle last year, she has the strongest ankles in class these day. I might stop her skiing next year though 🤣 🤭.

After our discussion about adding more protein in your diet, this is my go to brekkie. It’s definitely my favourite. on on seeds 💥.

Chia Pot
1 tbs chia seed
60 ml plant milk
1 tbs flax seeds
1 tbs pumpkins seeds
2 tbs full fat greek yogurt
Fruit, I alternate between blueberries and bananas.

Chia seeds need soaking, at least 20minutes, over night is best. Once the chia seeds are combined with the milk wait 2 mins, stir, so the chia seeds mix well into the milk and not sink to the bottom, stir again. I often can’t be bothered to make them everyday, so I make a big weekly batch of chia seeds and plank milk and scoop out daily , combine with the other ingredients.

Pop everything into a bowl and enjoy, it probably won’t look as pretty, but who cares. Let me know if you like it👇?
