During my career dealing with every type of spine problem, I can honestly say that I’ve met some of the most amazing human beings.

Now that I deal a lot with patients, I have the honour of getting involved in their journey, and watch them go from being disabled to now living a life of joy, health and strength.

One of my patients, who now call a dear friend and inspiration is . Her dedication, non stop determination and willingness to face adversity head on has allowed her the success of overcoming traumatic spine surgery.

She has followed every step of the process and she now understands and RESPECTS HER NEW SPINE. I had to share some images of our time together a few weeks ago…forever inspiring…thank you Rach!!!

We laughed, we shared stories, we spoke about our lives, we spoke about spines, we spoke about music, we ate steak and I’m sure I’m the only person in the world that got you to eat salad !!! You’re a giant amongst giants, a leader, an industry disruptor….and my life will always be richer for knowing you. Don’t rest in peace big guy…go cause havoc. Love you man 💪

EVERYTHINGMATTERS: 60 yr old gentleman. November 2023, severe radicular pain. Large L4/5 sequestration compressing traversing left L5 root. Followed the program to the tee….worked progressively through movements and exercises. Updated MRI, near full resolution of sequestration. Currently very mild residual radicular Sx, but mostly gone. MRI’s are the gold standard of evidence to determine spinal pathology, but they don’t determine cause of mechanical pain.

I appreciate the kind words, but this is to highlight the fact that not all spine pain is disc related. You need to investigate and think about the situation as much as you are able to.

5. Know the anatomy
6. Discuss findings in a professional manner with your patient
