Next week I fly to London to take on my hardest event yet. For me, anyway! 🏃🏼♀️
24 hours.
Around a 400m track.
The furthest I’ve ever run in one go is 157km, so if all goes well, this will also be the furthest I’ve ever run. And honestly- I have absolutely no idea what 24 hours of running around a track is going to throw at me!
It’s also the first time in a very long time that I haven’t felt like I’ve put the training in that I normally would. But that’s okay.
I’m going in with an open mind, my usual Chloe strong-willed mindset of “we’re getting this done” and most importantly, a determination to enjoy the process.
Because that’s what ultras are about for me. The highs, the lows, the doubts, the little wins, the moments where your mind tells you to stop and the moments where you somehow keep going.
I believe we aren’t allowed phones on the track, so there’ll be no following me around on socials this time! 😂 But I’ll do my best to run well, soak up the experience, embrace whatever the 24 hours throws at me and see exactly what this body of mine can achieve.
24 hours.
400m at a time.
Let’s see what happens.
