"You can be slow or fast but you must get to the line!" ⚽️

As the world's biggest football tournament kicks off today, we're taking the opportunity to look back on the small group of former professional footballers who have played at a World Cup and (more importantly), crossed the London Marathon Finish Line. 🌎 🏅

These players performed at the highest level on the pitch and proved they could do it over 26.2 miles on a rainy (or hot) day in London. 👏

Volunteering as an Activator is the best way to experience the energy of our events without taking part.

With the Big Half, Swim Serpentine and Vitality Westminster Mile and Vitality London 10,000 all taking place this September, we're looking for lots of enthusiastic people to support in key event roles.

Did you know that less than 1% of the world’s population will complete a marathon in their lifetime? 🤔

Exactly one month ago, 59,830 people crossed our Finish Line, many of whom were first-time marathoners. 🙌

Whether it was your first or fiftieth marathon, make sure to take some time today to reflect on that incredible achievement Class of 26! 👏 🏅
