Yomif Kejelcha is on a generational run in 2026. 💫

The Ethiopian athlete stunned the world at this year’s TCS London Marathon with a debut for the ages, going sub-two in his first official marathon (01:59:41) but incredibly still had to settle for second place. 🇪🇹

On a day when history was made and the spotlight fell on the winner Sabastian Sawe, Kejelcha deserved his flowers for a performance that heralded a new era for marathon running. 💐

Yet it is the half marathon where Kejelcha made his name and this weekend, he provided an emphatic reminder of his class at this distance by reclaiming the world record from Jacob Kiplimo at MARATÓN DE BUENOS AIRES ⚡️

Kejelcha crossed the Finish Line in 56:51, knocking 29 seconds off the previous record (pending ratification procedures). 🔥

With Maratón Valencia up next, we can’t wait to see what Yomif does next over 26.2 miles 👀
