Each plywood part in TonerBox is hand finished with careful attention to detail to achieve furniture grade quality.

The plywood parts start as single sheets which are bonded and pressed in a mould to shape.

After CNC machining the bent parts, a decorative exterior layer is applied by hand to hide the structural fasteners before painting.

All sheet metal parts in TonerBox are made from 6061 T6 aluminium. An alloy frequently used in aviation for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio.

Every sheet is formed, hand-welded and polished for precision.

Before powder coating and assembly, each raw part is inspected for surface imperfections to ensure every component passes the quality checks.

Our production involves a lot of hand fabrication, but this is the only way to achieve the craftsmanship we set out to deliver to our Kickstarter backers.

Exciting news! The first production run for our Kickstarter backers is almost finished. All the components are manufactured and only the assembly of each unit remains. Over the next few weeks, we will share some exclusive behind-the-scenes content into the making of TonerBox.
