⚽️💛 Nearly there, Southside! 💛⚽️

As we get ready for another new season, we want to say a HUGE thank you to all of our parents and carers who have helped us get hundreds of players registered over the summer. 🙌

We know there have been forms to complete, photos to upload, details to check and the occasional reminder (or three! 😅), and we really appreciate everyone helping us get it done.

We’re now on the final push to get our remaining players registered before this weekend so our teams are ready to go! ⚽️

💳 Subs for the new season

Payment schedules will be sent out this week, so please keep an eye on Spond and set up your payments promptly when you receive them. Getting these set up quickly makes a huge difference and saves our volunteers having to spend time chasing payments later on. 🙏

And thank you to everyone who has recently joined one of our waiting lists! 💛 Our lists are absolutely bursting at the moment and we’ll be in touch with more information very soon.

We can’t wait to see everyone back on the pitch!

💙 Happy Father’s Day 💙

Today, we want to say a huge thank you to all the dads, grandads, stepdads, father figures, coaches, volunteers, committee members and parents who give up their time week in, week out to make grassroots football happen.

To the coaches who spend their evenings and weekends helping children develop, grow in confidence and fall in love with the game, often coaching teams that don’t even include their own children, thank you. Your impact reaches far beyond football.

To the parents running the line, helping set up pitches, washing kits, making teas, organising lifts and volunteering behind the scenes, thank you for everything you do for our players and our club.

We also know that Father’s Day can be difficult for some. Today we are thinking of those who have lost a dad, are missing a father figure, or find this day challenging for any reason.

Whatever Father’s Day means to you, we hope you have a wonderful day and know how much your contribution to our Southside family is appreciated.

What a weekend! A huge thank you to every player, coach, parent, volunteer, referee and supporter who helped make our Southside Star Youth FC tournament such a brilliant event.

132 teams hosted…
900 burgers flipped…
50kg of bacon cooked…
and more goals scored than we could possibly count! ⚽🍔🥓

Congratulations Steve! 🏆

We are absolutely thrilled to share that our very own Steve Pitman has been named Sports Volunteer of the Year at the Gloucestershire Volunteer Awards 2026.

Steve has given two decades of outstanding dedication, commitment and service to Southside, making a huge difference to our club and community. This award is so well deserved, and we couldn’t be prouder.
