Mums, let’s be honest.

We create a LOT of guilt, don’t we?

❌ We feel guilty at work because we think we should be with the kids more.
❌ We feel guilty at home because we think we should be working more.
❌ We feel guilty when we say yes.
❌ We feel guilty when we say no.

It can feel like we simply can’t win.

And perhaps the hardest part is that it’s rare that our heads are fully where our feet are.

I used to create huge amounts of mum guilt.

Notice I said CREATE.

Because what I’ve learned is that guilt isn’t something that simply happens to us.

Very often, it’s something we create because of the beliefs we’re carrying.

👉 The belief we should do more.
👉 The belief we should cope better.
👉 The belief we shouldn’t drop the ball.
👉 The belief we should somehow do it all.

Today I no longer believe I have to be perfect.

I no longer believe dropping a ball makes me a bad mum.

And because of that I very rarely create mum guilt anymore.
