The final update for the team. Last Sunday we played in a versatility tournament.

Comments from our coach Jo - ‘I won’t lie. I was a bit nervous about our opposition but we started strong (winning the first half of our first game against the overall winners in the end). It was a mixed bag after that but we managed two wins against two of the TD teams. We played some good netball, we played some bad netball (never let me play C again, it was awful 🤦‍♀️), there were nice teams, there was *****. The rain came and went but not too heavy so I think we got lucky.

It was great to play each position and work as a team! 🎉💪

At the beginning of May we celebrated Kathryn’s baby shower! Drinks in the sun ☀️ made it a perfect day. A couple of the team kept partying through the night, pub hopping in Claygate! We won’t mention any names 🙊🤪 🥂 Since then, the beautiful Beauden has been born 🥰.

Lovely to play in the sunshine this morning and what a game it was! Everyone brought their “A” game: we had smack downs, interceptions, stacked back line passes (didn’t fail once) rebounds, goals-a-plenty and timed leads. Feel slightly smug to have beaten some 16 year olds who we showed that experience is better than ridiculously long legs (not at all jealous 🤣). Feeling threatened, the oppo made some tactical changes, leaving us down a few goals at the 3/4 mark but Claygate held fast and came back for a strong finish. Our defence and attack was strong up and down the court so huge congrats to everyone for a very well deserved win! 🥇 👏💪
