The London Riding Horse Show

The London Riding Horse Show Organised by the Civil Service Riding Club, the show is aimed at promoting riding in London.

The Civil Service Riding Club have been running the London Riding Horse Show for a few years opening the competition to other well-known London stables and horse enthusiasts

We hope to be back in 2022

The show, which was originally named the London Riding Horse Parade and first ran in 1938, will be held in Hyde Park on Sunday 1st October with classes including condition and turn out, as well as

ridden classes such as side saddle, and dressage. Despite the show having not run in recent years, as part of their 80th anniversary celebrations and in memory of esteemed member Harry Fleming, the Club hope to run the show again and are calling on the help of their members and friends in the equestrian world to make their plans reality.

Sadly, the The Royal Parks can't support us in 2025 so there won't be a show in Hyde Park this year. having got our submission in early we were hopeful they would accommodate us but the only date they had available clashed. We will aim to organise some smaller events for our members at one of our venues.

Fingers cross they want to support us in 2026.

I think we just had a successful show. Thanks to everyone that supported us, the competitors, volunteers, riders and our little mascot who led a parade at the end. Ebony Horse Club Light Cavalry HAC Stables and our sponsors LeMieux Likit Products Ingatestone Saddlery Centre Smart Grooming congratulations to Charlotte Dunn who won the trophy for highest placed CSRC rider. Let's hope we can do it again next year

One more sleep til our little show. The original London Riding Horse Parade was created to promote riding safely in London. We no longer have a parade hence a slight rename. Another small difference is that the show is in memory of Harry Fleming who was a long standing CSRC member. This year is also in memory of Jodie Maile who supported us from the beginning but who lost her fight against cancer. We're all very excited for tomorrow 🙂 having fun and remembering these two people.

Our Story

The Civil Service Riding Club have been running the London Riding Horse Show since 2017. We will be opening the competition again to other well-known London stables and horse enthusiasts alike to celebrate riding in London. The show, which was originally named the London Riding Horse Parade and first ran in 1938, is held in Hyde Park with classes including condition and turn out, as well as ridden classes such as side saddle, and dressage. The slight difference to previous Parades is that the CSRC will use the outdoor arena that they helped build in the early 80s and, the addition of dressage to the Schedule.

Once again, the Show is in memory of esteemed member Harry Fleming.

The Club are still recruiting volunteers and sponsors to help support the show. Contact [email protected]
