Annual Trips - The 2022/23 committee is now in the process of organising our 2023 annual trip! We're looking forward to getting back out onto the slopes and shredding some powder! We have regular trips to Hemel Hempstead Snow Centre to give our members a chance on learning to Ski or Snowboard or just to brush up on their skills before our annual trip. On top of all of this, there will be social ev

ents running throughout the year to give us a chance to get to know each other. Our socials could be anything from simply meeting for a chat once a week to going on nights out with activities and/or themes, and of course, it wouldn't be a social without some drinking!

🎿 And so there we go, the all new 2023/24 Snowsports committee! ❄️ Get ready to trade studying for slopes, seminars for snow and lectures for laughter. We can’t wait to meet all of you and welcome you to the family. We have an amazing trip lined up for this year with some great socials and trips to Hemel Hempstead indoor slope. So, freshers, get ready to shred the semester with us! 🏂❤️

Last of all (and least of all), meet Gwion (Gwiz) Davies, your new Club Captain.

With a ski ego as big as the mountain itself, he’s ready to carve his name into the slopes with all the finesse of a squirrel on roller skates. Hopefully this year, his plans for off-piste fun won’t be ruined by the claims that his skis were “damaged, and not the right type of ski for fresh powder” 🤭 (any excuse)

Favourite memory on the slopes?
“The entire ski trip last year! Especially when we came out of the clubs at 3am on the first night and it had snowed over half a meter, after there being barely any snow when we had arrived earlier that afternoon.” (Which he then decided to attempt to swim in) 🥴

Favourite place to ski?
Three Valleys, France. (Doesn’t shut up about it 🙄)

When did they start skiing?
“I’ve been skiing since starting on plastic skis at 2 years old but you would never say that after seeing me on the slopes” 😂

Favourite Bev?
“Guiness, Corona or those delicious lemon cocktails from apres on last years ski trip” (See last pic!) 🍋
