Calling all Kenshi - don't forget your toothbrush. Or dogi.
In addition to the Japan trip in October, there are now 3 international seminars confirmed for subsequent weekends in June. Details below, and also on the IKA website (www.internationalkempo.org)
8-9 June: Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic
Teaching from Mizuno sensei and Japanese guest instructor (7th dan)
Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad) is about 2hrs from Prague by car/bus.
15-16 June: Neuchâtel, Switzerland
Teaching from Mizuno sensei and Japanese guest instructor
Neuchâtel is about 1.5-2hrs from Geneva airport by train.
We are expecting a delegation from Porkemi, the Indonesian group that have split from Perkemi/WSKO and joined IKA, to come to Neuchâtel.
Neuchâtel also often has music festivals going on and hotels can book up quickly. It looks like the seminar this year coincides with a big one, Festi’neuch, so if anyone plans to go, my only tip is reserve a hotel early. Hôtel Des Arts is one of the nicer and relatively affordable (for Switzerland!) ones I’ve stayed at before.
21-23 June: Beasain, Spain
Black belts only. Teaching from Maeda sensei
GUSKE are hosting a special seminar with Maeda sensei, the appo / teiho specialist who attended Cyprus a couple of years ago. It is open to black belts only.
Beasain is about 1hr drive from Bilbao airport.
