โœ… Pace attack dominance! Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, and Wiaan Mulder shared 7 wickets to dismantle Afghanistan.

๐Ÿง Pitch Report ๐Ÿ
๐ŸŸข The Karachi surface had variable bounce, much like the Wanderers wicket. Some deliveries skidded on, some stayed low, and others bounced sharply!
๐ŸŸข The presence of cracks and grass made batting tricky, with the pitch expected to slow down in the second half.

๐Ÿ’ช South Africa Innings ๐Ÿ’ช
๐Ÿš€ Batting first, SA lost Tony de Zorzi early, but Bavuma played patiently while Rickelton dominated with a stunning 103!
๐ŸŽฏ Solid partnerships: Bavuma (50), van der Dussen (55), and Markram (52) ensured South Africa reached a challenging 315/6.

โšก Afghanistan Innings โšก
๐Ÿ˜Ÿ Tough chase! The Proteasโ€™ pacers kept it tight, not allowing any breathing room.
โŒ Early collapse! Gurbaz & Zadran dismissed quickly, and a run-out added to the misery.
โŒ Captain Shahidi fell for a duck! Afghanistan were struggling at 50/4.
๐Ÿ’ฅ One-man army! Rahmat Shah (90) stood tall, but wickets kept falling around him. Eventually, Afghanistan folded, suffering a 107-run defeat.

๐Ÿ Conclusion ๐Ÿ
๐ŸŒŸ Rickeltonโ€™s century and fifties from SAโ€™s middle order set the perfect platform!
๐ŸŒŸ Afghanistan lost early wickets & couldnโ€™t recover despite Rahmatโ€™s heroics.
๐ŸŒŸ Bowling, batting & fielding woesโ€”Afghanistan were outplayed in all departments.
โœ… A comprehensive victory for South Africa! ๐Ÿš€

Champions Trophy 2025

๐Ÿ Clinical New Zealand ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ”ฅ Crush Pakistan

๐Ÿ“Œ Match Summary:
New Zealand outclassed Pakistan in every aspect, securing a 60-run victory
in the opening match of the Champions Trophy.

Despite a few individual performances,
Pakistan never looked in control,
while New Zealand executed their plans efficiently.

๐ŸŸข New Zealandโ€™s Innings:
Pakistan won the toss and elected to field.
Shaheen Afridi & Naseem Shah bowled disciplined spells, making run-scoring difficult.

The breakthrough came when
Abrar produced a stunning googly to dismiss Conway, Naseemโ€™s outswinger, got rid of Williamson.
Mitchell fell cheaply, And NZ looked in early trouble.

Will Young and Tom Latham revived the innings
with a superb century partnership,
both scored centuries
and took advantage of the batting-friendly conditions.

After Youngโ€™s dismissal,
Glenn Phillips provided a late flourish,
targeting Shaheen and Haris Rauf.

The hosts conceded 113 runs in the last 10 overs, leaving themselves with a steep chase

The final overs proved costly for Pakistan,
as New Zealand managed to post
a challenging total of 320.

โšก Pakistanโ€™s Chase:
Pakistanโ€™s chase started on the wrong foot
as Fakhar Zaman was ineligible to bat due to injury.

Th e unusual opening pair of Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel, struggled against the swinging ball.

Shakeel fell early and then at backward point
Glenn Phillips took a blinder to dismiss Rizwan

Pakistanโ€™s lack of intent was evident as Babar played an unusually slow innings, bringing up a 50 off 81 balls, failing to set the tempo.

Fakhar, despite returning later, could not make an impact either.

A late cameo from Khushdil Shah, who scored a fifty, and some big hits from the lower order only served to reduce the margin of defeat, as the match was already out of reach.

๐ŸŽฏ New Zealandโ€™s Bowling & Tactics:
The Kiwi seamers used the early swing effectively, keeping Pakistanโ€™s top order in check. Later, the spinners slowed down the pace and extracted turn from the surface, preventing any momentum shift.

New Zealand executed their game plan with precision, keeping pressure on Pakistan throughout the innings and ensuring their victory never looked in doubt.

๐Ÿ† Conclusion:
New Zealand showcased
discipline, intent & adaptability
which proved why they are a formidable side.

Pakistan, on the other hand,
needs to rethink their approach,
particularly in death bowling & batting strategy.
