Austin was interviewed at Silverstone recently, and this was one of his first proper professional interviews! 🎤🏁

He’s done a couple with the guys at Motorsport Media before, but nothing quite like this!! 😳

We think he did incredibly well for an 8-year-old, especially considering how new this is to him. And we particularly love his answer when asked what he does to prepare… 🤣😂

So proud of you, Austin! We know how nervous he was ❤️

Today was all about clawing back points and getting as close to the top of the leaderboard as possible… Mission accomplished! 💪🏁

Two race wins under our belt today, combined with a fifth yesterday, gave us 2nd overall for the round! 🥈 And the championship is well and truly back on with just two rounds to go. This is getting uncomfortably tight and, honestly, it could still go either way!

Austin nailed two blistering starts, grabbing the holeshot in both races and leading from start to finish. 🔥 Logan was right on him though, especially in race two, so Austin was definitely a little lucky with where he caught the backmarkers!

So proud of the way he bounced back from yesterday’s disappointment. He’s been on the pace from day one, and today he showed exactly what he’s capable of. 👏

Next stop: Three Sisters in three weeks’ time! We’re quite glad there are only two rounds left because these old hearts can’t take much more of this! 😂❤️

Mega riding from everyone in the Inters today too — everyone has really brought their A-game to this round. Quite definitely one of our favourite tracks! 🏆🏍️

Two rounds to go… it’s all still to play for! 👀🔥

A very mixed bag for Austin today.
In Quali 1, he finished 5th but struggled to get anywhere near the times he was setting yesterday.
Quali 2 was a completely different story! Austin was back where he should have been, back into the 59-second laps, and qualified a strong 3rd. The top four qualified within just half a second of each other, showing just how close the competition is! 🔥
The race started brilliantly, with Austin nearly taking the holeshot. He stuck with Oackley and Logan for the first four laps, opening up a good gap back to Albie in 4th. On lap 3, Austin set the fastest lap of the entire race with an incredible 58.9! 🔥
Then, on lap 5, his lap times suddenly started to drop off. Albie was first to catch and pass him, followed by Daisy. The lap times continued to fall away, and Austin just managed to hold Jenson off on the line to finish 5th.
Austin was heartbroken. 💔 He had a real chance to battle for the lead today, but sadly, his engine had other ideas.
Tomorrow is a new day. A new engine has gone in, and Austin is ready to come back fighting! 💪🏁

Some great riding today, topping a couple of the sessions too! 🏆 It’s safe to say he’s really enjoying this circuit! 😄 And to top it all off, he even got to meet one of his heroes ManicMounsey! 🤩

It may have been a long trip to get up here on Wednesday night, but it was absolutely worth it. What a beautiful circuit Rowrah is! 🏁

Today is practice day, and Austin has his work cut out for him as he’s never been here before – but he’s definitely up for the challenge! 💪

A little track familiarisation yesterday on a go-kart, followed by a track walk this morning, means he’s as ready as he can be.

Today is all about learning the track – finding the braking markers, knowing where to be brave, and working out the best racing lines. 💨

We’re sorry that Andy isn’t with us this weekend, but we’ll be thinking about everything he has taught Austin over the last few months and seeing if we can put it all into practice.

Well, that was not quite the day we were expecting!

Warm-up and qualifying went fairly well, with Austin qualifying 3rd — although there really wasn’t much in it.

The MM10s got their first race out of the way, and it was great to see Austin’s friend Cayden back on a bike after a year off. 🏁

Next up were the MiniBike Seniors/Super Minis. Everything was going well until a red flag on the final lap, and unfortunately that’s where the racing stopped. A rider had come off and, due to back pain, had to be immobilised and an ambulance called. Until the ambulance arrived and Josh, the medic, was released, there could be no more racing.

At 3:25pm, Chris made the difficult decision to cancel the rest of the racing. They did, however, turn the afternoon into a track day so everyone could at least get some track time, as a medic is only officially required for racing.

So Austin had a couple of goes on the 12mm before heading back out on the Metrakit to get some more valuable seat time. 👍

Not the day we had planned, but these things happen in racing, and the most important thing is that everyone is safe.

Next stop: Rowrah, Cumbria, next weekend with FAB-Racing! 🏍️💨

What a beautiful evening up here at Stretton! 🌅
A good evening’s practice tonight, starting with a quick shakedown on the 12mm to make sure everything is ready for tomorrow.
Then the focus switched to the Metrakit. Over three sessions, his times just kept tumbling and he was really starting to look good out there. 💪🏁
Still a long way to go, but it’s a very promising start. Roll on tomorrow! 🔥
