Last time we tried this, it was, in the technical terminology, “not ideal.”

Eight weeks, several platforms, some promotional material apparently sightseeing around the Netherlands, and a fairly heroic amount of swearing later, we have finally got the better of the robots.

So, let’s try again.

Hackney Central. Hello again.

This is next week’s timetable at our new space with our amazing family at Bread & Butter Arch, Bohemia Place, just across from Hackney Central station.

To say hello properly, we’re opening up Hackney Founders membership at £40 a month for the first 50 sign ups. That gets you unlimited Hackney Central classes.

Not ready for that much commitment? 5 classes are £35, completely transferable, so bring your mates.

And to all of our Founder members and regulars down at Fish Island: these Hackney Central classes are included in your membership, and your class packs work across both studios.

Finding us from Hackney Central station: come down the slope, straight across the road and you’re about 50 yards away. You’ll see the boards, Bread & Butter written on the arch and the Social Yoga poster.

Vibes, vibes and vibes for our first Run Social. We will be running an all levels 5Km run every Wednesday leaving the Bread & Butter Arch Bread & Butter Arch at 6:30 pm. RUN SOCIAL — TODAY. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The first route is set. Just over 5K from Fish Island, down to Victoria Park, around the park and canals, and back to Social Yoga.

6.30pm at Bread & Butter Arch, E9.

We’ll get everyone together, do a quick warm-up and head out around ten minutes later. Bag drop is available, so come a little earlier if you need it.

We’ll have electrolyte hydration sachets from our friends at vidrate before we head off, then we’re taking some music with us and running this one socially — good company, good energy and a chance to enjoy the route.

Back at the studio afterwards for a stretch and mobility session, then matcha, iced coffee and whatever else takes your fancy from the bar. No need to disappear afterwards either — hang around, have a drink and help us plot the next one.

BABY SENSORY ON FISH ISLAND 💚👶🎶

Birdland Babies with Emily is our weekly music, movement and sensory session for babies and little ones aged 0–4, every Monday at Social Yoga Fish Island.

And because we had a little booking gremlin with this week’s session 🙃, we thought we’d turn it into something nice.

Emily has created the loveliest, relaxed space for little ones to explore music and movement at their own pace. Expect rhythm and singing, scarves and shakers, simple instruments, signing, sensory play and plenty of opportunities to move, explore and make some noise.

It’s gentle, welcoming, completely baby led and already becoming a rather lovely little Monday afternoon crew.
