Elizabeth began her training in Classical Ballet at the Elizabeth Hill School of Dance and Drama, where she completed all Graded and Vocational RAD exams up to Advanced 2. She also trained in ISTD Modern and Tap and competed in All England Dance festivals and TDCI Championships, winning numerous competitions and awards.โฃ
โฃ
Elizabeth studied vocationally at Laine Theatre Arts, graduating with a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre, receiving both the Ballet and Progress awards in her final year. During her studies, she also trained in Pilates, Contemporary and Jazz, alongside gaining her teaching qualifications in ISTD Modern and Tap. She is also an Alumni of the University of Portsmouth, graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Musical Theatre.ย โฃ

Elizabeth has previously worked for Laine Theatre Artsโ€™ Junior Department and for Ewell Dance. She is very much looking forward to teaching at Prima!โฃ

We are really excited to welcome Poppy Barnes to our teaching faculty in Kingston upon Thames. ๐Ÿ˜Š โฃ
โฃ
Poppy will be teaching for us on a Tuesday and Wednesday evening starting from this week. โฃ
โฃ
Originally from Northumberland, Poppy started her Classical Ballet training at a young age, studying all RAD graded and vocational exams up to Advanced 2 level. โฃ
โฃ
She continued her training at the Royal Academy of Dance on the Ballet Education Degree programme in London. This gave her the opportunity to train in a wide variety of teaching settings, including with multiple private ballet schools, and professional community platforms. Alongside this, Poppy achieved the Licentiate of the RAD qualification with distinction, providing her with detailed knowledge of the RAD syllabi and ballet teaching. She has continued her studies, gaining a MFA in Dance and Embodied Practice at the University of Roehampton in 2023.โฃ
โฃ
Poppy works as a freelance Dance Artist and Teacher in London. She has had the pleasure of working with organisations including One Dance UK, New Adventures (Overture Cohort), and Amici Dance Theatre Company. Poppy is excited to be joining the team at Prima Dance Academy!
