It is the home for multi-award winning choreographer Wayne McGregor CBE and his company of dancers, Company Wayne McGregor, and the hub for all of our creative output. It is the home for multi-award winning choreographer Wayne McGregor CBE and his company of dancers, Company Wayne McGregor, and will be a unique resource for artists and communities. Studio Wayne McGregor encompasses all of our crea

tive output including creative collaborations across dance, film, music, visual art, technology and science; and highly specialised Learning and Engagement and Research programmes. Based at Here East in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and designed by architectural practice We Not I, Studio Wayne McGregor comprises three dance studios, including two of the largest in London, and a series of playful spaces in which to collaborate, make and create. The first arts organisation to be based on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, it is a place for making, developing creative practice, and collaboration across arts, science, technology and research. Two decades on from the London bombings, we honour all those affected by the tragedy — and the strength and resilience that rose in the silence that followed.

Created in the same year, Wayne McGregor’s Infra resonates with the emotional landscape of a city in shock. A choreographic meditation on urban humanity, fracture, and connection, Infra doesn't offer answers — it offers space. To feel, to move, to remember.

8 World premieres, 7 European premieres and 5 Italian premieres from iconic dance world leaders to emerging innovative new voices. Over 160 artists will be live in Venice, with 75 events across 17 days

Acknowledged as “one of the most powerful, influential players in the sector" for work going above and beyond to enrich the industry

"McGregor was knighted in 2024 for his services to dance and it continued to be an impressive year for the choreographer. Alongside his take on MargaretAtwood’s MADDADDAM at the Royal Opera House, where he remains resident choreographer, McGregor directed another sumptuous programme at the Venice Biennale festival. He continues to be at the forefront of innovations in AI, and his dance-making tool AISOMA, which draws on archival footage to offer creative prompts in the studio, is worth paying attention to as it informschis upcoming work in 2025."

Sir Wayne McGregor closed his fourth year as Artistic Director of Biennale Danza with WE HUMANS ARE MOVEMENT, performed and co-choreographed by the dancers from Biennale College Danza 2024 in collaboration with Company Wayne McGregor

McGregor enlisted Benji B, Theresa Baumgartner, Ben Cullen Williams, and Wolford for this electrifying collaboration. Staged as two consecutive, one-off, site-specific performances, this high-touch, high-tech collaboration took place in the historic Sala Grande in the modernist Palazzo del Cinema on the Lido, home of the Venice International Film Festival
