Going into this my training has been up and down and to be honest it was my first time going into a competition with not many expectations. So to come out 2nd place, not my best performance but in comparison to last year's Euro performance A LOT better so all and all progress is there.

Big shout-out to my coach each and every time, such a privilege to work with you. Another shout-out to for keeping me from regressing into Robocop πŸ˜‚ though from some of the exercises you have me doing I'll be moving better than Shakira 😭

And of course my FiancΓ© keeping me focused and constantly giving me positive affection and affirmations to not let my mood plummet if in doubt.

Now, I'll take a break from any major competitions. I've been competing for 12 years straight, and though I relished every single year I've competed I need to give myself a bit of a rest. Mentally. I will still Powerlift and compete but for now I want to enjoy training, without any pressure, without taking more time off, just concentrate on myself, my business and our relationship ❀️

Thank you for your support, you all have been the Duracell battery pack on my back and I am incredibly grateful for your messages πŸ«‚

Total - 250kg @ 82kg

She also did a Bench Press only competition 4 months later that year where she got

40kg ❌ 50kg βœ… 55kg ❌

A year on

22.5kg increase on her Squat πŸ‘πŸΏ
10kg increase on her Bench Press πŸ‘πŸΏ
10kg increase on her Deadlifts πŸ‘πŸΏ
= Total 295kg @ 81.1kg

Improving her total by 42.5kg (at a lighter bodyweight) and mind you as you can see from the videos there's still a lot of room for growth πŸ“ˆ

Such a pleasure being her Coach and witnessing her progression now, she'll take a week off to recover and once the news has been confirmed I'll share with you all what's happening next πŸ‘€

How's my training going?

Literally like this, one day I can Squat 200kg for reps and the next time I squat I can barely squat 200kg lol

Well, "barely" is an overstatement and I didn't have my belt in the 2nd video though I have performed 5 reps in the past without a belt. Does that mean I've gotten weaker?

Don't care

This prep so far has been nothing but a learning curve and a dedicated journey to becoming a better lifter, the outcome is that simple. I can't dwell on the past I will just move on, actually this is how top level athletes deal with their bad performances

As you know I've worked with a Sports Psychologist which his methods STILL help me to this day despite being nearly 2 years since our last session. I hope this can have a positive impact on you, I'm now 6 weeks out and I won't lie I don't know what I'm capable of in this competition but rest assured when that day comes I'll leave nothing on the platform.
