Super Bowl Picks

It’s the most watched sporting event in the world and we’re ready with a couple of top picks to make it a profitable one for you.

The Championship matches were tough for us as both favourites ran out comfortable winners with Kansas City Chiefs dominating the Tennessee Titans and the same for San Francisco 49ers over Green Bay Packers.

Unlike last year, I believe this year we will see a very entertaining Super Bowl with points likely to be scored given you have two outstanding quarter backs in Patrick Mahomes and Jimmy Garoppolo.

Match: San Francisco 49ers v Kansas City Chiefs

Arguably the two best teams now face off to win the Super Bowl. Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs are at the big stage for the first time in 50 years and 49ers since 2013.

Both teams have so many weapons on offence, our top pick is on 49ers to score more than 26.5 points in the match. With Garoppolo having outstanding pass options in Kittle and Sanders and multiple top quality running backs in Coleman and Mostert, they should have too much power for Kansas City.

Kansas City could get caught out not knowing whether 49ers will run or pass given the Championship match they played very run heavy game.

A small play we will put up for Super Bowl is 2nd quarter being the highest scoring at 13/8. It may take a little time for both teams to settle into their rhythm and the 2nd quarter could well see points flow ahead of the half time break.

Looking at the anytime touchdown scorer market and at 23/20 with William Hill, Tyreek Hill is our top pick to score in the match. His quick feet and agile play make him a nice option for Mahomes, given 49ers could spend a lot of time covering Kelce, leaving Hill free.

A ½ point play we’re putting up is a first touchdown scorer. Tevin Coleman
scored 6 touchdowns for 49ers this season and between him and Mostert they have been outstanding. At 22/1 with Redzone bet, this is definitely worth a small play given Mostert is 11/2 and there shouldn’t be that much between the two running backs.

Match: Chicago Bears @ LA Rams (Sunday 21.25)

Los Angeles Rams are really struggling on offence this season. The protection from the offensive linesman is not giving quarter back Jared Goff enough time to throw the ball to key targets.

Their defence is doing a good job to keep them in games, but you need a strong performance from both parts of the game to go deep in the play-offs which won’t happen this year for LA Rams.

Chicago have one of the best defences in the NFL and will not fear heading to LA Rams this week. Unfortunately, their offence isn’t as fluid as it could be.

The past three Chicago Bears matches have featured 35, 36 and 33 points, thus I’m putting up an under points bet as they face a team not playing well.

Total Match Points under 42.5 at 5/7 with Sport Pesa or 10Bet

Match: Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins (Sunday 18:00)

Ryan Fitzpatrick is enjoying his role as back up quarter back for Miami Dolphins and his experience is helping them pick up valuable wins in their division. After a poor start they have improved in recent weeks and, after a win over New York Jets, they put in their best performance of the season by winning on the road at Indianapolis Colts.

This week they return home and face divisional rivals Buffalo Bills. In the reverse match-up they got beat 31-21 but this was the first full match of the season for Fitzpatrick. Now a few matches in and he has performed well, plus the defence is playing a lot better. With both these factors, we don’t expect Bills to run away with a 6 point+ win, thus I’m tipping Dolphins to cover the handicap spread.

Weekend Acca/Parley

We’re back with a three team acca this week and I’m going to start with Baltimore Ravens to continue their red hot form as they host Houston Texans. After beating New England Patriots at home, the Ravens followed this up with a big win over Bengals.

Oakland Raiders host winless Cincinnati Bengals and with Raiders scoring on average 28 points a match in recent weeks, the Bengals are going to have a long afternoon getting Carr off the pitch at quarter back for Raiders.

Minnesota Vikings surprised us last week by winning at Dallas Cowboys and, with big confidence from this victory, they return home and face a stuttering Denver Broncos. Like Oakland Raiders, Minnesota Vikings score plenty of points and put up 28 and 23 points in their past two matches and I expect them to put up a similar number this week as they beat Denver Broncos.

We had a couple of winners last week as the under points total delivered in Kansas City @ Denver Broncos. Miami Dolphins also covered the huge spread of +16.5 in their divisional match against Buffalo Bills.

After a great return for New York Jets quarter back Sam Darnold at home to Dallas Cowboys, we saw the opposite on Tuesday morning as New England Patriots continued their domination of the NFL this season.

The NFL returns to London this week with the first of two matches at Wembley Stadium as Cincinnati Bengals face LA Rams.

We got off to a good start with week 8 picks as Dalvin Cook scored anytime in this mornings match for Minnesota Vikings at odds of 4/7.

The LA Rams head to London revitalised after a few poor performances as they easily beat Atlanta Falcons on the road last week 37-10. This kind of win is a momentum shift for last year’s Super Bowl runners up.

Heading to London with new confidence and facing a team yet to get a win this year, The LA Rams can power through. After holding Atlanta to just 10 points, LA Rams can restrict Cincinnati Bengals to under 17.5 points at Wembley.

We’re looking to get back to winning ways with our weekend acca after missing out by one last week, so let’s start with Detroit Lions at home to New York Giants. Detroit have been competitive in many of their matches and are one of the highest scoring teams in the NFL this season. Should they continue to impress on offence, they can dispose of a very inconsistent New York Giants team.

Next up is Jacksonville Jaguars who will look to continue their good form after an impressive road win at Cincinnati Bengals. Gardner Minshew has been in fine form as a replacement for Nick Foles and they still have a chance of the divisional title. They host the New York Jets, who have a short week after a dismal display on Monday.

Finally, San Francisco 49ers can continue their impressive start to the season and defeat Carolina Panthers who, although come into this match up after a bye week, face a team full of confidence.

Our two subscribers Bill & Sarah had a blast last week as our guests at the NFL in London as Carolina Panthers dismantled Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It was also great to get this week off to a good start with our under points pick as Kansas City Chiefs defeated Denver Broncos.

This Sunday’s NFL has a lot of interesting match ups and we’re now at the stage of the season where teams are coming back off a bye week, so I’ve been looking at many trends to see how they perform having a week off.

As advised yesterday, this week has quite a few divisional match ups which tend to mean a lot more to play for given the yearly rivalry between the sides.

Week Seven

Match: Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills (Sunday 18:00)

The Buffalo Bills are off a bye week which means they’ve had a few weeks to prepare for the visit of Miami Dolphins who narrowly got beat at home to Washington Redskins last week.

I thought this handicap spread would be giving Miami a 13.5 point start but, with the line at 16.5 points, I am definitely taking the points on offer here.

Buffalo aren’t free scoring and with Miami gaining some confidence last week they can cover this huge spread, especially if veteran quarter back Ryan Fitzpatrick plays for Miami.

Match: New England Patriots @ New York Jets (1:15am Tuesday)

New England Patriots are the hottest team right now, but with the easiest of schedules so far it’s not surprising. However, in recent years they’ve struggled on the road at New York Jets and with Sam Darnold back at quarter back and a huge win over Dallas last week, the Jets can keep this match competitive right up to the end.

New England are hot favourites, but the spread of 9.5 points is a few too many for a divisional rivaly, so we are happy to take New York Jets +9.5.

With so many tight match ups this weekend, here are our three teams to come out on top in their matches...

I expect Green Bay Packers to make home advantage count against Oakland Raiders. After a tight win over Detroit on Monday,the Packers will come out all guns blazing to secure another win in a tight division.

Next up is San Francisco 49ers to win on the road at Washington. The 49ers are this season’s surprise package and with a strong defence plus an astute offensive line, they still remain undefeated and can continue the trend this weekend.

Finally, New York Giants to just get the better of Arizona Cardinals. With Giants’ key offensive targets back to full health, they can cause Cardinals many problems and make home advantage count.
