Parliament Hill Bowling Club

Parliament Hill Bowling Club Founded in 1937, a friendly lawn bowls members club on Highgate Road, Hampstead Heath in North London. Open from April to Sept for guests and members.

We are a mixed club, we have been established since 1937. We are looking for new members from any age to be taught a new sport, we have 2 qualified County Coaches who, will give lessons most days free of charge by appointment. We are Registered with the English and Middlesex County Bowls Associations, we play friendly Club matches and competitive County matches. Please feel welcome and come along any afternoon, People has the misconception that this is an old persons sport but there are many fine young players coming into the sport at the top level. We look forward to seeing new faces from all age groups, Race sexes & disabilities. We have a wheelchair especially designed for the green, so that nobody who wants to bowls is not excluded.

Lucky for some! A game of three rinks at Hornsey Bowling Club: on one rink we were being completely thrashed, on another we were totally thrashing them and on the third it was a fair fight. We lost on two rinks, but overall we won 55:50 😅.

Our very last, women-only, social bowling evening of the season is Tues 1st Sept, 5.00 - 7.30 pm.

If you’ve ever been curious about lawn bowling, this is your chance to try it out - it is probably not what you think! Don’t judge it until you’ve tried it! This is your last chance until next year.

It is a sport that is accessible to all, but so much more than that, we are a community who support each other - and have fun! Come on your own or with friends, I promise we’re very welcoming and easy going and will make you feel at home! All ages welcome!!

• FIRST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH
• £6. Cash or card.
• We are all ages and we don’t wear these outfits anymore, just wear comfortable clothes and soft-flat-soled shoes to bowl in, or play in bare feet.
• You’re invited to *bring picnic style food and drink* to share and we chat and get to know each other.
