It probably sounds crazy but I generally want to change the world. We all matter and therefore, our sole or soul purpose should be to be sure that everything we do reflects this. Despite what seems like an impossible task, we have the power to change the world one-thought-at-a-time. I decided to start with the two areas which I believe have the potential to be the driving force behind my vision. W
omen and business. Women because we are the nurturers and the guides of the young but also because the dominant energy in the world is a masculine. It's probably due to the imbalance between our feminine and masculine energy that the world is the way it is. The violence, grasping, trampling on people to get where you want to go, the Me-me-want-it-all-want-it-now mentality and profit over people approach to business. Fuelled by a dominance masculine energy the world has become to outwardly focused, that is, large numbers of people find it difficult to connect their inner authentic self or truly connect to others because they lack the fluidity, sensitivity creativity, introspection supportiveness and nurturing that female energy brings. Businesses have the power to change the world, they set the agenda by determining what goods and services are provided in the marketplace and they create wealth by paying wages and employment. Years ago when the great industrialists of Rowntree, Cadbury and Bournville recognised the power businesses had to create fair and more equal communities, they set up model villages where their workers lived. They paid them well and looked after their total well-being. Happy contented workers were good for communities and good for business. Profit was important, but they recognised sustainable growth was about giving back and not just taking more and more at the expense of society so a few benefited whilst the majority suffered. However, being able to look after your workers also means that you have to look after your customers. No customers means no income and no income has a knock-on effect on workers. So I want to empower women, enlightened businesses and together we start the thought process to change the world. I focus on marketing, mentoring and a process I call momentous moment. The first two are about changing the way we do business using a new type of marketing based on the principle of a business hug hearing understanding and giving back incredible value. The momentous moments (of which there are seven) are designed to empower women to be the driving force by helping them to stand in their power. To banish the feelings of being an impostor that sap their ability to recognise and celebrate their achievements and act on the opportunities to lead a new agenda.
