Pizza day in Nuseirat.

Our chef and Abdelhakim led the pizza party team. They carried in a simple oven, hauled water that isn’t always easy to reach, and kneaded dough from scratch for a camp full of kids.
We do this every week, camp to camp. It’s simple food, but nothing about making it out here is simple. For an afternoon, kids get pizza while it’s still hot. That’s the whole point.

For the first time in a long time, we're training again in the North, by the sea. Like the good old days.

Things still aren't perfect. But we'll always find a way, because our love for this sport is stronger than the obstacles in our path.

Our health is better than millions of dollars or winning the world cup. We wish for the simple things in life. Nothing in life is better than that.

We're grateful to teach that gratitude to these little ones and brighten their day.

This is the life of the Gaza Sunbirds and of newly disabled people all over the world. Our team is an opportunity to find something new in the midst of loss. 🦾

For our children, even simple moments like this are rare.

We prepared a pizza-making day where we worked across different stations from dough preparation, to toppings, to baking ✨

Each step was carefully done to create a warm meal and a shared moment for the children to enjoy together 🍕
