This month, I took 10 days reset in Paris. I needed the space to slow down, think and reconnect with myself.
I came home with more than beautiful memories. I came home with more clarity.
Here are the 6 lessons I’m bringing back with me:
1. Slowing down showed me how much I’d been carrying.
Sometimes, you don’t realise the weight of your mental load until you finally slow down.
2. Taking a break helped me reconnect with myself.
It gave me space to reconnect with my interests, my goals, my creativity and not just my to-do list.
3. Taking time for myself gave me more energy and motivation.
I came home feeling refreshed, motivated and excited to pursue my goals. Sometimes, stepping away is exactly what helps you move forward.
4. Taking a step back helped me create better systems.
Stepping away gave me the time to rethink my routines and build systems that can make everyday life feel lighter.
5. Simple moments matter more than we think.
A slow coffee, a walk, a museum, a good book; they reminded me that not every moment has to be productive to be worth it.
6. Stepping back gave me clarity on what’s next.
It gave me the time to think about my next career move, my priorities and where I want to focus my energy moving forward.
Over the next few days, I’ll be sharing each lesson in more detail and how I’m bringing it into my everyday life as a working mum.
Which lesson speaks to you the most?
